I'm clearly talking ... moreThere are no failures here, especially for sony, you want a real failures, go to Samsung explosive note 7 and reddish tint display s8, s8+ threads, read the whole negative posts then you will understand the exact meaning of fail.

S3mm, 28 Apr 2017So basically you said a 4K HDR screen, 960fps slow motion, ... moreAm I posting in the XZ Premium thread? I'm clearly talking about the XZs, Sony's second failed attempt at creating a proper flagship device. The XZ Premium is not even out yet. The fate of that phone is grim in light of the arrival of other near bezelless flagship smartphones this year.

The S8 is more than just a near bezelless phone. It's packing a tall screen in a relatively small body. Samsung knows exactly what people want. They want a phone with a large screen without being too unwieldy or sacrificing one handed usability, and that's exactly what they achieved in the S8. The S8+ has basically the same screen width as the S7 edge but with a taller display, and the S8 is even narrower than the S7 due to the curved edges while packing a much larger display. Samsung showed excellent craftmanship and unparalleled engineering in creating the S8. The S8 is an ergonomic marvel. It's now the blueprint of modern smartphones. Phones with large bezels belong to the stone age.

The S7 was initially projected to sell 26 million but ended up selling 50 million units - twice the initial projection - and still selling great now that the prices are going down. Sony will never see those numbers in one year from all of its phones combined.

Just because it has slim bezel doesn't mean it come from future, sony had a slim bezel phone and guess when it came out, 2013. If slim bezel is truly the future why not mention SHARP or Mi Mix, they both achive near bezelless display without stretching the display to weird aspect ratio and cover it with PR Talk

The S7 edge's AMOLED vertical pink line was a bigger issue than the S8's normal red tint, and still the S7 sold 50 million units. For the S8 to fail massively it has to explode as the Note 7 which is never going to happen given Samsung's 8-point battery check. The S8 is the safest smartphone you can buy right now. Not even extreme conditions can make its battery explode. A massive fail is a 2017 flagship smartphone that has a specs of a 2016 smartphone like Sony. The S8 is a glimpse of what phones in the future will be.

AnonD-566980, 28 Apr 2017screen is not better on s7,its just higher res nothing else... moreNo, not even battery life. Seriously misconceiving stuff...thiss here test results.

All that really counts on a phone is Screen on Time on certain brighness level.... cause it levels up standbytime, system battery usage and screen usage while phone active....

Nobody I know uses a phone to watch 10 hr of video straight, or continually surfs the web for 10 hr, or talks for some 25 hr... .

SoT is best merit of day by day usage pattern, inbetween needing to recharge your phone.
My phone got lousy 61hr in test here, at 200 nits. Yet It achieves at same nits 7-8 hr SoT every day before need to recharge. While inactive, loses only 1% in 7 hr inactive overnight.
                              Thats indeed great batterylife.
While some other phones that got great video, web, talk endurance here, actually waste too much percents while on standby, so even if having for ex 90 hr on test, have only about 7 hr SoT max on 200 nits.
Have read an article about S8+ with 3500mah (88hr end) achieving max 7hr20min of SoT, and only after medium adjustments, deactivating apps, etc. It could do more with extreme adjustments I guess.
While I got even more from my phone with medium adjustment , max 8hr40min SoT from 2700mah(61hr end).

So all in all, I seem to have to recharge my 61hr phone less often than those having 88hr.

phone buffs test dosent show anything,it not posible to click app in same time for every phone if you understand me? it takes few seconds maybe till you finger comes to app icon, and then back to home button, and you cant do it in same time for every test.. its not relevant, and boot up time dosent have anything to do with real life speed of phones... most people dosent even turn off there phones... in fact they should at least once a week, but they dont
