If battery backup is problem. Just turn off Stamina mode, Charge the device for 2 hours continuously when you unbox it.

I have Xperia Z running smoothly on 4.3 jelly bean Should I update it KitKat 4.4 as I have read person facing problem of Hanging,Lags Bcoz it cant be rolled back

Check forced GpU rendering
And I changed the animation scale to 1.5x..... U can turn it off if u want

With regards to battery using kitkat, make sure to.turn off the photo analyzer in albums (under faces section) it consumes 12-20% of the battery. Also, I slept with 68% last nigjt, using stamina mode, it is still 68 when I woke up

Have installed the kitkat update today and so far pretty impressed so far. Does seem to run even more smoother. Had lag on settings menu, but switched on gpu 2d in the developer menu and seems to have sorted the issue. Havent noticed any other issues or bugs yet.
