I'm using it for a year and I experience a bit more heating only if you run some heavy apps but that's normal. I don't know what others are talking about the heating issue.

Hello everone, I just got this phone the XPERIA Z and there's a problem with reading my sim card though it works on other phones. I also tried inserting other sim cards in the XPERIA sim card slot, however there's always the message "Sim card inserted.. Restarting", then after the phone restarts it says no sim card and it doesn't show any signal, only a red "X" next to the signal sign at the top. Does anybody know what could be the problem or what to do in this situation? I'd be very grateful for any kind help or advice. Thanks.

Purchased sony xperia z in oct 2013, in dec 2013 it was not taking a charge, replaced phone charger which seemed to do the trick. Then in feb 2014 it completely died. Went thru the proper channels and all we got was the run around. I will never purchace another sony product. The warrently was void as they said it was physically damaged, and yes the charge port was bent due to constant wiggling trying to get the phone to charge, can't imagine why? trying to get sony to understand that it was a manufacturing defect was next to impossible. They said they would call us back, we are still awaiting their call. Sony WAS a good product at one time and thats all I would buy...now forget it. They mass produce a product and charge too much money for it and don't back their product up. Realize that the charge port was made poorly. Make it a weak point because it is a constant area being accessed therefore if its made cheaply we will sell more phones cause people will get frustrated and it will bend and then we don't honour the warranty and then we make even more money from the stupid consumer,,,says SONY!! In my eyes anyways!! Good-bye Sony YOU SUCK

in my phone update is still not showing
also i have checked in pc companion there also it shows u have latest update installed
i want 4.4 but now i have 4.3 in my mobile

I dont got android 4.4 kitkat update on my xperia z my friends also dont got update
But sony promising that they're update surly comes to India soon iam just waiting for that

Factory reset after installing kit kat in order to avoid all the problems!

Does anyone has problems with laging since kitkat update? My phone worked perfectly until I instaled the new update, and now I have problems with freezing, some applications may not start, I'm having problems with unlocking etc.. If anyone has a solution please help!

hakim, 28 May 2014how much the price of this phone in Malaysia??Its around RM1300-RM1500. Xperia z is good. The display is sharp with full hd view... The colourtone are seriously amazing... Sony are one of the best company.... 13mp with hdr recording... The camera quite good also.... Im Xperia z user... Seriously xperia z are good..

There is no doubt this is relly rocking phone.. but it also has very very heaty problem , I am using this phone alomost by 2-3 weeks and its heeting like any (m not playing games just normal usage like surfeing and wats app and camera)thing and it also hang for 4 -5 times in this duration and last time i have to do force shut down for this..

If you are in India i am not sure if 4.4.2 has been pushed out. but for other countries as its released it is found that there are minor bugs with the KK update.
slight lag is observed in Settings menu and also heating up issues.
i recommend you to wait for few more days if you can after Sony fixes this .
Else you can flash any Custom KK rom from XDA.
i would prefer to wait for XZ Ultimate edition (Custom)Rom by Niaboc79

if you want a bigger screen with less resolultion 720p(1280x720) then go for 816
if you want to compare audio quality i recommend
use XZ with Skull candy handsets you won't regret :)
