waterproof no way never buy another sony phone .. sony said moister in phone never been anywhere near water water proof NO WAY .

I am using this phone since 8 months. No problem at all. Quite impressive phone. No lags or glitch ever noticed. My friends who have purchased Samsung Galaxy Note 2 with me are now facing slow down and hanging problems but not me. Really Best of Sony in a Smartphone.

It depends on how quite is your room but it's true that the sound is low due to water proofing material coated in it.

I was informed by Sony Centre personnel that Xperia Z has a bit low volume capacity due to the water proofing material in the speaker. It's speaker is just a reason I gave up buying this phone. I felt it like a car with a very low horn.

I liked Xperia Z very much and decided to buy. The price of Z here in Nepal is 49k and dock charger cost 3k. But when I went to sony centre to inspect device to purchase, I found the speaker volume too low than normal mobile phones. I can hear the ringing sound if the mobile is close to me. If I keep it in charging a bit far from me, I can barely hear the sound. This was the most disappointment for me although I liked it's all specification. I gave up the idea of buying Z and end up buying Xperia SP. I hope this phone will not disappoint me in future. I have read that 4.3 has much more bugs than in 4.1 version. However, I have decided not to upgrade recently.

Im already contended with my Xperia Z,though its not quite impressive when it comes to features compared to high end samsung but I'm much more satisty on the durability of xperia Z.. superb design..
already tried it under water several times ..taking pics and videos...its impressive! if i can post my sample pics here i will show it..:)

Price is to high and the phone is just EH. I have owned one for the past 8 months. Switching to galaxy s5.

Exposure to water less than 30 mind. Forgot to wash it thoroughly though with tap water although it was advised that it should be washed.

I received an upgrade from sony to my phone now it will not make or receive calls and will not send or recive texts the phone was brilliant before. it still recognises the sim virgin. has anyone else had this problem or got any ideas

I bought for myself Sony Xperia Z on October last year and found it was a great smartphone especially the camera, but lately it disappointed me. It will shutdown and on itself eventhough while i was talking to someone. I've tried reset it to factory setting but it remain the same problem. Now it seems look like i've to turn back to samsung.
