@ShaF ...... I Never said that it not water-proof read my statement again ... I said it not that of a water proof that people think it is... Let me ask you when you really say sometin is water proof do u knw what dat truely means ? Or do u wanna tell me you can Leave your #Xperia Z under A drum of water for 2days or a whole day without it havin issues is dat wat u wanna tel me ? As for dropin ur phone under water for Long like that datz exactly wat i did to my Swatch water resistance watch i bought it was even maximum of 5days i left it under water just to be so sure ... Let me tell U i dnt want u to tink bcos am a Nokia Fan i hate sony hell NO i don'T if i see a good produch i respect it alot bcos it not easy to be creative... Guess U tinkin i can Afford dis phone lol you wrong about that ... I have got the Lumia 1020 which just came @ it not up to 3weeks after it Release i have gotten it off which i believe it took you months or 2months after the release of dis phone ( xperia Z ) before you bought it and i hope u know what it means to buy a phone wen it a week or 2weeks after it release ( Expensive )... we can all be best of friends on here and twitter guyz let share our come view and point together.... I Love to see and b around people dat love Gadgets /Tech ALot ... #TeamNokia# am not here to fight but to b friends to everyone

Battery is awesome with HSPA and H+ connection, one of the best, but in daytime the high brightness required will reduce battery, yes, but this happens to all phones. iPhone 5 cannot last this long on high brightness on 3G connection, not even close, my relatives using iPhone5 always turn off data and even wifi to try to stretch their tiny batteries, no need for this on Xperia Z, just keep it all ON, and keep Stamina Mode disabled, Xperia Z will get you home in the afternoon with some juice to spare.
Regarding high brightness for daytime usage, iPhone 4 was tested to last just over 4 hours at full brightness, thats with the phone idle. Now start using 3G, scroll and zoom in the browser (this makes the CPU and GPU work hard and consume lots of battery) and you cant even make it 3 hours on a tiny 3.5 inch device. I bet you, even 2h30m is gonna be hard to achieve.
Keeping zooming and scrolling to a minimum while browsing is a great way to save battery. This is why for example HTC one made it to more than 10 hours in the battery test here at gsmarena, but it cant make it to even 6 hours in more realistic tests.

The reason why Samsung sell more is that Samsung paid many retails to promote and selling to peoples and people who promote and selling Samsung phones get also a bonus from Samsung itself.
Last time i went to the store and people who works there ask me what phone i want. The gave me three phone and all of the three are Samsungs and i ask i want a Sony made phone the said don't buy those phones those phone s are slow/bad screen and expensive.
This is the main reason why Samsung buy out retailers for this sneaky marketing, Samsung are the biggest corrupt of all companies.

This mobile was ne... moreThis is just nonsense....i use My Sony Xperia Z in the rain...washed it under the tap and even took underwater videos in a aquarium and took pictures (with a little app which allows me to use the proximity sensor as trigger) to take pictures under water.
It never got damaged with water...
Awesome phone gues...go ahead and buy it...

Do not by this phone, IS NOT WATERPROOF, I bought 2 months ago in London Three shop and after 2 times I used in a shallow water, water come inside and damage phone, i took it to three shop and they say that was not their problem, BE CAREFULL with this phone, DO NOT BUY

For sometime I stopped reading thread on dis opinion forum bcos a lot of broke anti-sony peeps dat do not know about the brand sony were been paid by sony competitors!
How can u say sony XZ aint water proofed?
Its not working well and battery drunk?
I hav had mine since d past 3-4months bathed it while showing off and its alright
It fell dis morning and nothing happened!
I updated the sony android version on friday and it bcame better dan I bought it! Why dis lying against a phone u can't afford?
I don't like anything Nokia but u can't see or hear me talk bad about it,am not just their fan,doesn't mean its a bad mobile.

hey guyz pls don't b decieve by sony ... This mobile was neva a clear water-proof here is wat they did on the day of the Launch and as well wat i saw onLine ... When they drop the phone inside the water the phone was wrap with some kind of a NyLon let me put that way # so pls dnt say or tink you buying dis phone bcos it a water resistance hell nOOOoo pls dnt friends.... They never Explain how the water resistance work to there customer's which is not fair ... They just dnt care .... The phone is great, the size is handy, I can text with one hand despite its size. Everything is good except the battery is easily drained. Use STAMINA mode to increase battery life. Overall, nice phone! (y)

Is it true? :) I intentionally place my XZ in a bowl of water for several minutes and i did it several times, it is really waterproof. I even wash it with flowing water when i want it cleaned removing my finger prints. Maybe you did not close the rubber flaps or you had bought a fake XZ phone :)

I have an Xperia Z.This morning, I went boating, it was soaked a bit(splashed only). now moisture accumulated in the camera lens.the phone don't start. what happen to the IP57 certification!
