This is my first review that i am posting. I brought this phone 3 months back and its just an awesome phone but it gave me a serious problem by showing a back spot evrytime i open the camera, even if i take a pic i use to see the black spot in that pics which was pissing me off. I spoke with one of the rep from sony service centre and they asked me to download xperia diagnostics but nothing happened. Then they asked me to repair the phone but again nothing happened. They informed me to visit the sony service centre said they will check and let me know if its a software issue or hardware issue.
Finally they found that its a hardware issue which is unrepairable and informed me that i will get a replacement.
I have Xperia Arc, Xperia S and then i brought this phone because of its amazing design and features.
I understand that these kind of issues rarelly happens but i was worried and thought if this problem would have been occured after one year then it would be my big loss because my warranty period would have been expired at that time.
Although they are giving me a new phone but I am still disappointed with Sony this time.

Go to your "brilliant", "vivid", HTC Website and give advice, that are useless if you come here to say you want what phone, take back your butterfly and get out of here.

Wasting
money....Horrible camera(it takes paintings not sharp pictures).My old HTC vivid takes brilliant pics compared with Z.Average battery.Nice looking,waterproof,but nothing else extraordinary to worth the price.If you wanna buy it wait until the price will be about 250 us dollar.Otherwise you'll be disappointed.I had also HTC one,another poor camera,another disappointment.Looking at Samsung s4,yes better camera and performance,but the artificial AMOLED and FIRST,the CURVY form factor, are not for me.Still looking.May be HTC will build a phone like ONE,but with a camera like in HTC butterfly,waterproof and with sd card slot.

Was wondering guys! My z is UK unbranded unlocked handset and it's still stuck with android version 4.1.2 !!! Any ideas? Tried pc companion and the other sony update application, both saying my phone got the latest software!!!!

Anonymous, 09 Aug 2013I'm quite not sure.. i read a lot of issues about sony xper... morefault of users if they did'nt seal properly all the flaps and did'nt checked the damaged flaps or seal and throw it in water. easily to blamed to the manufacturer..... i hope next timed, the manufacturer will make their product lifetime water and dust resistance. lol
