I love this phone,so impressed..and even more impressed when I round it has a sat nav too !!...I highly recommend this if you're looking for a new phone .

Really got tensed after that stupid icon appeared but I was able to successfully restore it heres what u need to do
1)install pc companion software on pc
2)keep the phone "ON" untill the icon disappears(can take upto 3 hours) and then the sony logo starts rebooting
3)after that go to pc companion and select support zone
4)select "phone tablet software update"
then you should see repair my phone
follow the procedure and everything should be fine
*note all data will be lost

advice, 01 Jun 2013gs4 screen modes do not change the brightness of the phone,... moreU r just pasting ur previous posts man .. Nop it only change the colors brightness in an auto ixed values they change the color brightness to be honest if u r using an amoled screen for long time u would be like woow but for me who used it a couple of months in the last year it was clear that they dont change the color saturation at all the idea my friend this is the price for having the amoled so untli they change the screen concept it slef this is the best they can do and it is by cheating the amoled only user eyes
i chicked those modes the other day and they really working hard to hide this issue but samsung lost another point and they fail even further when someone lie think before u spread this lie .. Even though u r arguing with us i used to respect it my friend but ur opinion is not based on a logical and realistic facts .. The amoled is like this and will stay like this like it or not nothing is perfect u just need to see what is the perfection for ur self not for the world so stop being so strict with ur opinion and plzz don't talk about education u have to get the experience before u can use this education in ur life but i guess they just keep forgetting to teach u that in the schools these days

Pretty sure you do not speak any other language, I also speak Spanish although I am English, so do give them some latitude. The important thing is that they get their point across and that it is understood.

I had some suffered same fate sadly! run to service center only they can fix! I am assuming next time an update comes I'll go service center instead? it's a pain that I wish it could happen from home!

hey guys we are cheated this time and shuld agree that our xperia z has no wifi direct??? I tried using and no option exists? is there a full step by step alternative solution guys???? Will Sony fix it in 4.2.2??????? if someone can help would really helpful!

Im some shops here the xperia Z is down to $560 from $780 when it was released. Can't wait for the price to further go down, just in time for Christmas :)

Guys sony solved the overheat problem by a recent update u can check it out
Go to power management >battery use>android system=u will se a programme named "overheat control"

Why are you all argue about! Let them fight, let them copy everything from each other and make better things! I really don't care who made the first app or what parts are using for their phones.What you have to realise is that Sony, Samsung and others are great in their own domain.I really hope that all of you understand that the competition between these big companies is good for you the customer :)

Sorry to tell you a sad news...
OLED d... moresharp is the screen manufacturer for the iphone and the htc one,but it suffers from financial problems so samsung took the chance by buying shares from sharp and putting other manufacturers under its mercy.
buying shares from sharp is not related to the advanced super amoled panels,samsung will continue using its top screens for its top phones.

why is sony hell bent on using tft screens?why not use slcd which is on htc one x or super amoled or ips lcd screens?
