I am a heavy user of mobile phone for official purpose. i have been using office mail,different kind of software, apps in my blackberry handset. I am going to change my blackberry tomorrow and want to have a Sony Xperia Z... Please suggest me whether I should buy this or not considering the battery performance...

having one of the Xperia smartphone, i can say that sony technology is one of the best. you can do alot of things that iphone can't do. unlike iphone hinders you to download from safari, can't swim, no nfc, can't be use as remote control, old UI, dificult file transfer(needs itunes). i also have an iphone and ipad. but without jailbreak, ios is boring and useless compared to android..hehehe peaace..love SONY..

TMach, 04 May 2013Having now played with the S4 and made a direct comparison,... morepost script - I must admit to not having suffered any of the issus of heating up, blurry screen but that is because I have not used it much since I have had. Two days use and no problems so guess I may be one of the lucky ones. Any problems, it is going straight back to Carphonewarehouse!

Having now played with the S4 and made a direct comparison, yes, the S4 has all the software, processor advantage but in truth, you will never notice in real time use any advantage over the Xperia Z! I guess for the tech guys, this may matter but not to me or other ordinary users. I do tend to buy most top end phones and despite myself thought I'd see what the S4 was about so bought it and have had it since Wednesday (1/5). The conclusion for me is that it is absolutely not lovable by me for reason of the build quality. If you have held the XZ and then hold the S4, you will know what I mean. The screen is about the same although the S4 has better viewing angles but not an issue for me, the battery drains quicker too. By the by, I keep coming back to the feel of the XZ and still love it more and also prefer the Sony UI, forgot how much I hate Touchwiz...ugh! I will keep it though as I like it but can't say I will ever love it!

When d XZ was announced and released, Samsung fan boys condemned it so much, saying d SGS4 would be a killer. Now S4 users are complaining of ba3 issues, display issues, over heating problems and now internal space issues. Imagine d 16 gb variant only has about half d actual memory available to users. Compare this to XZ 11 gb. Even moreso, on d S4 u cannot install apps directly to d SD card.

I have Purchased Xperia Z TWO days ago and I am using this phone continuously but I did not find any complain about this phone. I had used xperia ION also but if you compare this xperia Z with xperia ION , there is a lot of improvements ( heating , battery and all performances). I would like to inform to the sony lovers that all the negative comments started here at this site after Samsung galaxy s4 launched. it seems that they are trying to prove s4 much better than XPERIA Z. but honestly you have to accept that there is something better in s4 and something in xperia z.

please guide me.. i just bought an xperia z yesterday and when i was using it in the morning the battery percentage was 74% and with in 4 hours of normal whatsapp usage it became 15% . I mean the stamina mode is on still this things are happening .. whats the use of an expensive phone if we have to use it in stamina mode n crap plus i m seriously dissapointed with what sony has offered in turms of battery life ..

Anyway, right now for a phone with a dual sim card you can buy a XPERIA Tipo dual, HTC Desire V, HTC Desire SV, Samsung Galaxy Y Duos, Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos, and the newly released (only in China) Samsung Galaxy S4 i9502.

An excellent phone, i havent noticed any lag as in the Galaxy S3 which i owned before my iphone 5, the screen is good, not as the iphone 5 screen or lumia 920, but fine, its excellent in video reproduction. The design is amazing, and the android skin of sony is light, so if you like stock android as me this could be a more versatile phone than nexus 4, recent games like iron man 3 run better in the iphone 5 maybe because of optimization and the lower res in the iphone, the music player is fine but i find annoying that you cant control volume with a sony headset or apples earbuds. The camera is not what you would expect from Sony, but its not that bad. The design is beautiful but battery life is subpar, also charging takes a long time. For me its the best android experience, good design, beautiful and huge screen, light and nice skin, sd card, water resistance, if you want a balanced phone, then this is the best option, its not the better in each category but its the best when you package all together
