I would love to have smaller version of Xperia Z.As long as Sony maintains Z's premium design and high quality construction.
Xperia SP does not have even half of Z's appeal.

[deleted post]It is better if you go to samsung s4. Eventhough it is not as sexy as Xperia Z it is more powerful and loaded with features. If they are on them same price range samsung s4 is better. In every aspect in terms of hardware it is better since it has a newer chipset. Also it has a better screen, LTE, better battery endurance and it has gorilla glass 3. The screen is amoled but for me the xz display is just ok..I do not mind the display.
durable but cheap looking phone because it is plastic >samsung
sexy, unique design and waterproof > sony
if you prefer performance then go to samsung
if you prefer the looks the go to sony
for me I prefer performance than the looks so I will go to s4..Performance is the thing you need for such a high end phone. YOU ARE PAYING FOR THE FEATURES AND HARDWARE!remember, in that way you can feel a high end device and will not be left behind for years because it has a good hardware.

The Xperia Z has only recently hit the Philippine market, and it took them a while longer to have an actual working demo unit in stores.
I find the screen as detailed clear but the colors aren't good, as reviews say. It's because we are pretty much spoiled with IPS, SLCD and AMOLED screens with vibrant rendering. I didn't see the XZ' Bravia engine do much of a difference and it takes up power from the already strained battery. The angle discoloration is there but I don't see a vast difference. This is not to say that it's terrible. (Ease down, Sebastian and gang)

The 441 ppi resolution is probably is the one killing the battery capacity. I find it impractical with a 5" sized screen, and yes, you'll be impressed and get to impress others that you have a full HD screen in your device. I find that a 200 ppi is enough as compared to a 200 dpi print out on paper. The naked eye and the brain can't possibly normally comprehend anything more than 300 ppi at normal reading distance. If I didn't know that it was a 1080p, I would think it's a 720p - I can't perceive the difference. Even if my next premium device would have a 1080p, I still think it's too much to be over 300 ppi even if I work with digital graphics. I already work with a 20" full HD screen and I can't distinguish the pixels as it is.
I do agree that LCDs produce good bright whites but would strain my eyes in the dark.
Overall, the sleek design and waterproofing is what I appreciate about the XZ. This would feel as a secondary device with the short battery stamina with the overheating issue. This is what Sony should improve on before I start buying their products again.

i have some problems with the speakers when is wet, actualy loose sound,and after 1hour is fine this is not good from sony but i spend 450£ for many other reasons

I too agree that S4 is faster than XZ, but really now, I have been using my XZ for a month now. I have literally stuffed it with everything I've ever wanted in a phone, and I still get no lag whatsoever. From my perspective, this is rather a difference in potential, rather than in act. However, I really like that I don't have to think of the rain when I'm with my XZ. This is something that really adds value to this phone. As for HTC One, it is a beautiful phone, just as fast and awesome as the other two.
It's simply a matter of style. Nothing more. All three models are extremely powerful and addictive.
A few years back we were all using Nokia 5110 (remember? those lovely phones that had no death whatsoever) and now we're complaining that one phone has an idiotic difference in viewing angles. Who uses his phone diagonally? Really, WHO DOES???
