Even GA admitted that its better than others in sunlight, personally i was deeply impressed with its sunlight legitibility, its so way better than other phones i have tried. What GA is really admitting here is that measurements of brightness and contrast does not reflect the real world percepcion of a displays qualities.
Viewing angles are really not a problem at all, you would know if you tried it in real life usage. And as for several persons watching at the same time, yes te ones at the sides will get a lower contrast and colorshift, but its no problem to see it clearly.

Battery rating, Very Good.
Was at a party last night, till the morning, thats where we tested the Z in ice water by the way. My poor Z didnt get any rest at the party, two of the girls where litterally fighting about using my phone and kept using it all night, still i got home in the morning with 33% battery to spare.
3G data connection was enabled, stamina mode OFF, screen brightness set to 50% and Auto Brightness on.
Im upgrading my opinion about the battery from Good to Very Good. It has improved since i first got it, but it was not bad when it was brand new also.
It is also worth mentioning that usage like this in very dark surroundings will cause the phone to lower the brightness, thereby saving power. Then its a good thing that this display does not lose quality/detail at low brightness levels, unlike the AMOLED displays that barely has any detail whatsoever at low settings.

I won't lie, if Sony only improved the display (significantly) this phone would be very competitive against the Galaxy S4. It's still the last thing holding them off since the Xperia Arc that I had, and the poor display was my main complaint, and they still use the same display type in their phones. Bravia engine is nice and all, but it's basically trying to do miracles with a TN LCD. If only they went for a better panel, or an OLED display even the first gen Krait processor wouldn't hold them back from taking the 2nd spot on the Android market with this phone.

I also tested it in ice water, with ice cubes, was a bit worried that the temperature difference would cause condens (tropical climate here) but no, its still in perfect shape.

I been comparing displays of my Note 2 and my beloved Z, the difference is immense, the Note 2 is not only hopeless beaouse of the low PPI but it is so lacking in detail in movies, its amazing how much more you actually see on the Z even if the movie is not Full HD. Just like the boys hair in the display shotout of Galaxy S4 vs Z, the difference is that big most of the time, then lower the brightness and the difference increases massively.

Just like the old "tilt to zoom", have to admit it was a very useless feature, just the way samsung like it.
