the screen has no problem and the glass of the back is gorilla while the front glass is dragon trail which is 6 times stronger than gorilla

I realy disappoint about this phone, I m a big fan of Sony Ericsson, now the Sony is very very bad phone producer , the bad phone ever, no gorilla glass 3 protection, the display is TFT no IPS ,
Samsung galaxy s iv is the best phone ever,

this is maybe good or maybe bad. Xperia Z is water and dust proof, but this makes ALL of the jack, including headphone jack and charger jack covered with rubber cap. i still never touch this Z but i think its kinda hard to put this phone in pocket while we plug headphones on , because the rubber cap will hang and will be easily broken when we walk while rubber cap is hanged and phone is inside pocket
and you will always have rubber cap hanged on the side of the phone while you're charging or using headphone or do anything that require u to use the jack.. this kinda annoying bcs it will make the phone looks bad
and sorry for my bad english :(

Camera doesn't do justice ... moreIt's just a contradiction that Sony made an attractive device lacking key features like long battery usage like the Note II or Razr HD Maxx. Of course it can last days without using it much or turning off the radios. It's practically like turning off the entire device with that new battery management they have - yeah, just like Juice Defender Ultimate.
Some people are bent on spending almost $1000 getting the XZ earlier with the idea of a sleak design and fall deaf on the short accumulated/total screen on time, and making excuses up like not being able to read text clearly from a 720p 5.5" SAMOLED RGB screen. The actual reading area of the XZ is actually 4.7" because the bottom part has the usual Android buttons.
Well, now the issue of the international XZ to have a washed up TFT screen exploded, they make the excuse of hoping that there must be some miracle chance that Sony has released some with SLCD internatonally. They just reserved that for their local consumption. Some actually like the limited angle discoloration and call it the privacy function of the TFT screen!
I'm just saying, Sony had realeased a a good looking device with major shortcomings. Making excuses will not push Sony to give you your money's worth.

The edge is sharp and uncomfortable for hand grips.
Now that the phone is released, you get a hands on, not like sony fans who worship and adore this phone like god.. Lol

Waterproof is its biggest asset. Camera doesn't do justice to its 13mp tag. BATTERY IS VERY POOR. THIS IS THE DEAL-BREAKER. Hadn't Sony fully understood the battery requirement of the phone's specs? Also, the speaker is on the lower right which gets cover by your palm while holding the phone. This is too basic to be missed-out by Sony.

Got this phone free on contract. The display is neither good nor bad. But considering it's HD, it belongs to the new generation phones, but not among the top.I liked the camera and mobile bravia. However, I find the battery to be weak. The stamina mode works only if you dont want to be connected. But I need my 3 emails, facebook and whatsappp to be running. So it doesnt work well. Battery is its biggest letdown.

... moreDocomo or not i think it is not the issue there, true there are two version of Xperia Z screen quality. one is the washed out version and one is good quality one.
Th docomo version uses black wall paper ans the interntional was using too much grey but there are just the same.
Due to xperia z initial release there saying they will release software for screen calibration this might solve the problem on whitewashed version maybe during the quality inspection they didnt see yet the problem as to delivery or CES time they realized it.
so for the best way solve this for me is before accepting the product try first and if ever it is whitewashed screen then request another one, dont forget to change theme put there the black as you will see clearly.

... moreYou are wrong. According to the sample pics first and third also second link pics proved htc one is the clear winner but not over 808. Sony picture colours are nor natural as htc one and lack of details. However this is not a official release, we can prove it more when htc one released.
