Screen) OK I've heard so many people talk trash about the screen.
But I've have seen close up vids of the display and it looked nothing like what the haters talked about it actually looked amazing.

Speaker) I've heard people complaining about the speaker yet it's freaken loud

Battery) I've heard people talking alot about the battery being bad but I've heard of people having 40-50% left at the end of the day with moderate to high usage I've heard of heavy power users having 12 hours of use out of their xperia z's.

HTC one is a good phone
Galaxy S3 is still a good phone for 2012
Xperia z is a good phone
Galaxy s4 will be good
All these phones have good features and software I dont see why argue over small differences. If we arguing with bb and apple fanboys then thats a different case But android to android is pointless.

But if there is a file type it doesnt play you can download a video player that supports the format you want from the play store

As a first android phone xperia z is a great start.
There is so much you can do with an android mine is 3 years old but can still do more then all BB's and iphones
Only thing with android phones is battery life people tend to leave apps running in the background then wonder why the battery is draining so fast.
Keep an eye on what apps you download on it.
xperia z when used moderately should last you 2 days but when used extensively should last you 12 hours.

don't be stubborn, the viewing angles are perfect for me like this, don't want that people see what i'm doing next to me. it's a positive thing !
by the way, there are plenty of videos on youtube , where you can see that the screen is awesome !

Hey can sum1 from sony can adequately suggest me about this new sony xperia z ! As per till today since frm 4 yearz bck I hav been using nokia,den the shit samsung n nw a BB torch ! I havn't ever used a android phone neither I hav any experience of android phones ! So would xperia z satisfy me completely wid itz excellence as described here ! M about to book dis phone merely in 2 dayz so reply me soon ! M a fan of various sony products bt never owned a sony phone yet !

AnonD-101465, 23 Feb 2013I like the poor viewing angles !! cmon .. the phone is just... morei think that's a rather lame defense for the viewing angles. i like xperia z and i don't give a damn about poor viewing angles. however, privacy can't be used as a reason because even with the poor viewing angles, texts can still be legible from the sides. photos can still be perceived albeit with color and contrast changes.
please let's not make that kind of reasoning. sony xperia owners are more intelligent than that.
just say you don't mind about the viewing angles because you don't need them.

HTC one have better specs but seriously who cares for that ALL in one toy :)
Butterfly dna hav same specs as Z But they lack sexyness... :P
and yup take all 4 them ( one,dna,butterfly,Z) in the shower than come talk.

Whats the use of those chart bursting benchmarks with just 4 to 5 hours of battery life on heavy use.qualcom did not not worry abt the battery just worried abt getting high scores in benchmarks not a smart move qualcom u better do ur maths or ask sony to put a little bigger battry or at least make it removeable like the galaxy x cover smartphone .....

AnonD-62808, 23 Feb 2013U a sony fanboy is not a problem...generally htc one is bet... morehtc sense sucks and xperia z uses an almost untouched version of android, htc one=no 4g, only 4,7 inch screen but phone is just as big as xperia Z...pretty ugly phone....htc made a bad choice......HTC One is going to fail, i would pick butterfly over that ugly htc one phone
