AnonD-107154, 30 Jan 2013As a former Sony Fan boy, I honestly recommend that nobody ... morei didn't work with Sony phones but whoever has worked with them calls them astonishing. regarding the crash you mentioned, one of my friends works for a mobile repairing center and he said the most crashed phone is Samsung and he mentioned nothing about Sony. maybe im wrong.

And since when is "half the phones" 1 device? As far as i know, SE/Sony promised update to ICS all of the 2011 devices and almost all(except Xperia Play) actually got ICS.

As a former Sony Fan boy, I honestly recommend that nobody should buy a Sony. They look beautiful and unique, no doubt but they are the most unreliable devices and have terrible service.
In my personal experiences, all my Sony devices crashed one month after the warranty expired, and I wasn't the only one, there were 5 people in the same service centre who had a crashed Xperia sola, one month after its release. I recommend that people visit a Sony service centre before they purchase a Sony phone.
The other problems with Sony phones are that their battery life is just terrible, even this phone with its massive battery won't be able to keep up with a similar samsung.
The screen of Sony which is manufactured by themselves and isn't gorilla glass is another problem. It just isn't as sensitive to touch especially in games, and I noticed this when I tried to play Fruit ninja, its just terrible.
And finally, Sony don't care to update the android OS for their older phones, half the phones that were promised ICS never got it.
So, as long as you know that you are spending all the money for a phone that will last only one year, you're fine. For others who prefer a more rational choice, avoid Sony.

Guys, read the Xperia V review. The Z is not the only great Sony phone, the V is already one of the worlds top 10 phones. Unfortunately not in sales but it will be close, its selling very well in countries with LTE except USA and promoted by for example multinational telecom giant Telenor.

My opinion, Sony Z would be the best phone ever. I will buy this phone definately. Last time I bought SamsungGS3. It is not good. All are body plastic and looks cheap. Never buy Samsung again.
