Important announcement pls! Its been confirmed, the new sony xperia Z screen is a 1080p 5 inch LED-backlit lcd screen and not an ordinary TFT. So you have absolutely zero issue to worry about. LONG LIVE PLAY, LONG LIVE SONY.

Anonymous, 29 Jan 2013But viewing angles are poor in SXS.Ill just ask you do you really need it? When the times you need viewing angles give us samples or situation how to intend to use it. I can use my xperia s even at 45 degrees at approximately 3 inch or more. This is just basis but whats more with xperia z. If the phone is avqilable now I think you can check the fqctors you dont like and see for yourself

Is the screen really TFT or LED-Backlit? It says here in this article, also from gsmarena that it's the latter. hmmm. Is gsmarena getting this unreliable. hmm

Why do these Sammy fan boys troll in Xperia Z. Go praise Samsung in their phones comment pages and don't come here, if you guys don't want this phone fine eat your S4 or what ever same design Samsung phone they will release.

This phone is definitely a T-rex among smartphone markets. With 5\" screen out there, the resolution is stunning. It is really better than samsung AMOLED as S3 and Note the darker region colours are so dark that you can\'t even see clearly. Sony\'s bravia engine technology is very bright and stunning details can be seen. I personally think that this phone is a hit cause it has quad-core and the most out of it 2GB RAM. I uses RAM alot and I think 1GB is not enough for me. And if you are looking for camera awesome gadget, i\'m sure this is the one. With 13MP camera and 2.2MP front facing camera, you wouldn\'t ask more from it. Somemore I heard that the new Dragontail glass is more durable than gorilla glass. It can withstand 60kg of weight plus this phone is dust proof and water proof so you don\'t have to worry if your phone fell into the toilet bowl. HAHA that\'s all I wanna say for this phone. If you are looking for a cheaper one but great specs too, try Xperia T/TX

I will give you a spoiler free of charge: IPS of iphone is also TFT, PLS of Samsungs Tabs is TFT, almost all LCD are TFT. Or else do you know how many connectors a full HD display would require? 1920 x 1080 x 3 (each subpixel will require its own connection), which is 6.2 million, if you dont want TFT then how would you even fit all those connectors inside a cellphone at less than 5 kilograms?

Dragontrail glass is not tempered glass, and yes, it is 6x stronger than... soda lime glass. Where did you get the info that dragontrail is 6x stronger than gorillas?
