Anyway, its not only that Xperia Z check all the right boxes, its popularity also has to do with people being tired of the same old same old from Samsung and HTC, and even iPhone, and the WP users are quietly admitting that WP isnt what they thought it would be.
Look at Samsung, HTC, iPhone. What are those old boring designs?? iPhone still look similar to what it did in 2007, the same icons as 6 years ago is the first thing you see when you turn it on. Now HTC, what on earth are they thinking using the old Desire design on their new phones in 2013?? And Samsung, are they trying to become a new HTC, what is with Touchwiz getting heavier and more useless for each new android version?
People want a way out of the misery, and Xperia Z shows the way. Refreshing, light skinning, great design and the best build quality ever on a cellphone, and to top it they are even making a matching tablet. This is just great, almost perfect. I know i am not the only one who want them both, for Q1 all my money is on Sony.

I couldn't believe it when I was at work today because my colleague had one of these phones and it's not even out in the market . Apparently he got it for free as he knows someone thats works for Sony in China.. This is wrong

Premium material you are saying its not concerns. Most of the people check the outside beauty before hardware. Well if you dont like the water resistance try there is zl. Price ill check first its not yet release in our country so I hope the distributor here will not be too dumb to price like iphone 5

I had moved everything i could to 32GB card and still i had full internal storage. I think it is the same on Arc, 320MB free space with Gingerbread and just above 300 with ICS. Not enough for most people, respect that and get over yourself, we dont have to live by your needs.

Real games take up a lot more space, many gigs each. If Xperia Z does not support moving games to SD then he better go for Optimus G Pro.
And try to not get so angry about other people having different needs than you, we respect your needs, or lack of needs, so try to behave and do the same.

I have Xperia Arc, it has 1GB internal memory and 4GB SDcard and i didnt have any problem with low space, and i am playing games a lot trough HDMI on TV.
So Xperia Z have planty of space, stop QQ.

When a handset is really good regardless of the price, it really gets a lot of hits doesn't it? Its been a long while since Sony had a handset on top of the daily interest list.

At most people only download 15-20 games not all HD. 50 apps. etc.. cant even fill 8gig.
Stop that annoyance go back to where you belong.

S4 may come with same specs about as Xperia Z, but what about UI. Now days all flagships have about same specs. Yes one gets 1000 points more in Antutu, so what...But probably You will use phone about year(maybe some even more), so it depends for me a lot how good is to use it. Samsung has shown us before that can be very innovative with new products. So expectations are high.

man i wan't this phone so bad, i just wish nokia came out with full HD screen.

Plus most HD games, especially gameloft cannot be transfered to the SD card... so you basically have 13GB of memory to use for apps and games only.
lumia 920, htc one x+ and iphones all provide 32gb+ internal memory which is more than enough for apps and games. Nexus only provides 16gb internal but thats what you get for a cheap price.
You mentioned great design and premium quality, sure thats good to but most people like myself will apply plastic/leather protective casing anyway so the design and material used is not so important.
Water resistance, yes thats a great bonus to but like i said only a small number of people would plan to use their phones in the beach or swimming pools.
Sony might need to keep the price down for the xperia Z if they wanna compete with other flagship phones in 2013, especially the Galaxy S4 and the rumoured Motorola X phone.

Hope this will be a little cheaper here in KSA.
