Used it for 3 months . Overall not bad . Sometimes the camera with superior auto is better than manual mode .
Problem is Battery drain out very fast .

but the damage was just in its camera
little noisy
i went to SOS and they told me it needs new main bord and its so pricey
about 80% of the unit price
i can live with that

My xperia Z1 just had a water damage because the flaps are not tightly closed....n now the screen are black but the backlight still on n the sound stil working when someone call...what should i do guys?how much to repair this prob?

No Problem so far after the latest update to KitKat 4.4.x
- The battery is fine and charges to 100%.
- I can connect my phone to Ubuntu using the MBT USB connection with no problems.
- I am somehow deceived by the Back Camera which produces average results.
Overall; The phone is a great one. Far better than thos samsung, Iphone and other junkies.

My father bought it for me as a present! Using it for about five days! This phone is simply awesome! Mine's color is white and it looks just damn too sexy! Display quality is amazing! It runs no kitkat 4.4.4! The UI is nice & responsive! No overheating problem while gaming! I played asphalt 8 for about half an hour, did some web browsing, watched some videos and the amount of heat coming from it was completely bearable! Battery life is ok until now, stamina mode is great! My uncle bougt an iphone 6 plus recently, my aunt has a galaxy s5, and i can assure that despite being one year old, xperia z1 is still on par with them in terms of performance! Only problem i found that it's a bit large compared to other 5" phones, and it's superior auto mode isn't that great, u have to manually adjust some settings to fully unleash it's camera's capabilities! Go for it, u won't regret! :)

Phone was good before kitkat update, should stick back to jellybean. Issues after kitkat update
1.Phone hearts up badly
2.battery drain fast
3.battery refuse to charge after 83% (even after replacement battery by sony, still same issue)

Owned this phone a week ago. Awesome phone ever experienced. Everything is perfect. Bought that phone after going through so many sites, reviews,opinions of everyone.Finally got this smarty. The heating effect is very less than i expected after reading reviews. The camera is superb with full of clarity. But some times it says that camera is unavailable if we restart that then it works even if the cam is on for 20mits and above. the effect like background defocus and AR effects are not so good in fact not working. except this issue evry thing was perfect and the battery life was on peaks .Music in this phn is feast for music lovers. Go for it.Love you sony. Expecting more updates... :) :) :)
