It was really good before the Kitkat update.
after updating, the battery life decreases significantly, ear proximity don't work sometimes. can't rotate to landscape at times.
I've been using it for 11mths and the charger flap needs to be replaced.

The worst thing about sony mobiles is after sales service please don't go for Sony. Pathetic service center guys and worst customer care I have seen. Same blue patch when taken picture in dark and bad battery back up

I am a victim of Z1. Pathetic phone and even more pathetic after sales services. Please do not go for this phone or any other Sony phones for their after sales services. The customer care people are very rude and so are the service centre people. The phone gets overheated with or without use and shuts down automatically on its own whims. Will charge and not charge again on its own whims. As a female its dangerous when u are alone and the phone shuts down and u cannot make/receive calls/texts. Steer clear of the phone. Unlucky that i decided to go for this phone when I had initially decided for Nexus 5. I have borne a loss of over 20k because currently the phone's value is a mere 16k.

ois, 26 Oct 2014hi!. i'm planning to buy this, but it is true that the batt... moreDepends what is extreme usage to you? Screen on time is around 4-5 hours what means if u use a lot of internet, gaming, video playing you won't do 12 hours mark.
If u need a phone mainly for talking then you can talk 24 hours ☺
The battery is normal, maybe poorer when comparing to sgs 4 which has 2600 mah battery instead of 3000 mah of z1, but i would say it is near sgs4, except activities related to screen, which is tn tft display, which isn't the most effective

This is a great 4n.. Battery life is matching or surpasses the performance of s4 or note 3. I have used both of them. Performance is also super smooth..

hi!. i'm planning to buy this, but it is true that the battery life is poor and drains quickly?. it is worst than gs4?. in extreme usage, it can stand atleast 12 hrs?. sorry for my questions :)

I've had this phone for 8 months from now. I'll suggest don't buy this phone. Its battery drains too fast dus yo overheating. Camera is not clear in dark areas and the android update has nade the phone even worse. Its camera keeps in hanging. there are many issues with the camera!!!
