Hey people..i wonder if i buy this phone now beacuse i think this phone is realy good but i wanna know if this phone in future will may run android versions after 4.4.2(KitKat)?

AnonD-260846, 05 May 2014Hey guys ....I am using samsung galaxy s2 for the past two ... morei have been used this phone since more than one month. no problems even after kitkat update. over-rally superb phone. if you want you`can opt for lg g2. its battery back up is top in all phones. 13mp camera clarity is equivalent with xperia z1 21mp. but screen size is 5.5. no water proof. choose any one. z1 feels premium and main advantage is water proof. only issue is during playing hd games phone gets heated up. this is a common problem with all android phones. however it cools down immediately after stop playing due to aluminium body.

Sorry to tell all of you, why are we grumbling on kitkat, as when it was JB we were dying fr kitkat, remember whatever it is hardware or software problem we cannot remove it. Nor we can replace or refund it, most warranties expired, just enjoy live ad let live. Getting hotter will never explode it always happen, with heavy spex mobiles. 700$ cost is in thin air, max u get 250$. Be content with the best you had few month's back now its time of Z2 owners to Cry ad make noises.

Hey guys ....I am using samsung galaxy s2 for the past two years and im going to upgrade my phone...i liked the XPERIA Z1...is Sony a nice option ???....I liked the sony UI ..i heard about many issues with this phone like over heating and kitkat update problem...i want my phone to run heavy games and take good pictures..so I decided to buy this baby..??/Is there any issues with this?? Z1 users please reply :)

After kitkat 757, camera problem (freezing )and slow, battery draining quick, not like before, black screen appear when unlock. still need repair even after made update through pc companion

Gur, 04 May 2014Are you serius?!?!?! it is a matter of hardware not softwar... moreAs i recall they have the same camera sensor. And snapdragon 800 can do 2k video and USB 3.0(this requires hardware changes). So i think it is more a software than hardware. You know that to produce z2 doesn't cost 800$... Maybe 300-400$ dollars.
I think that giving 2k video for z1 would disadvantage z2 sales, and won't happen. Z1 is no longer top dog for Sony.
Why can't we have direct call or answer on z1?! It is called marketing.

The phone will get warm while using it or running applications. The phone has an built in thermal application that will sense if the phone becomes too hot. Have you received any messages on the phone saying its getting overheated?
If not I suspect it works as intended but if you feel uncertain about this I suggest that you visit your local Sony retailer to have this checked.

The only think that works better on kitkat is nfc.
