my phone was plugged in and it rang i unplugged it it said 57% charge when i picked it up before unplugging it and it just went completely dead since!!!!! I had it plugged in for 2 days now and it will not power back on hmmm i did all the tricks in the book volume button while holding the power button for 15 seconds ect... ZILCH!! anybody know what to do here besides throwing it in the garbage lol Anybody ever encountered this problem before?

Charged to 100% t will last you at least 1full day for hardcore gaming depending on what type of games you play. If you play high graphic offline games(NFS Most Wanted etc) it will last you 1.5+ days. Low graphic online games(Clash Of Clans etc) it will last 1 full day. High graphics online games(Injustice etc) it will last nearly 1 day depending on game.
There are other phones which are also good for gaming but this phone will last longer than any other phone I have ever seen.
I have been using this phone for last three years and the quality of this phone is exceptional because my phone fell down more than thousand times and still works without causing a single problem and without lagging a single time in last three years even while playing high graphic requirement games.
The phone heats some times it heats like crazy because the design of the phone is made to keep it water and dust proof means no space for air to pass through it. But even when the phone gets over heat the performance will not drop no matter what happens an will not lag no matter how hot it gets. That is the best part about this phone.

Don't worry the heating problem will not effect the phones functionality. The phone will run smoothly.

i got this phone last year and its not even one year yet.
3 weeks ago, my phone dropped and the screen cracked and i couldn't open my phone as the keypads were not functioning properly (if i pressed 1 the entire no. would get pressed; at times nothing happened even if i pressed it) . after visiting the mobile store, they told me changing the screen would fix it all but NO! Now i cant open anything for more then 3 secs as the pics go haywire and my phone screen shuts down if i still persist using it. they told me its an unknown error as there's nothing wrong with my phone and they cant help anymore.
ANYONE? PLZ HELP!!!!!1

Anonymous, 05 Jul 2016Hi~ I just bought this phone. And I have few unsolved quest... moreIn the case of XPERIA Z1 I would recommend you to stick with pre-installed OS version unless you really need it especially don't upgrade to lollipop until it is not required.
If you upgrade to lollipop battery life will fall and there will big chance of phone to lag, which will never happen if you stick to factory OS.

And I have few unsolved quest... moreIf theres something wrong but u dont want to update your phone(there was 5.1.1 last year), u just connect your phone to pc;u must do everything just like u want to update it via sony pc companion,but instead of update find the REPAIR option and follow the pc instructions;its very easy,in fact u dont have to do anything,sony pc companion will repair it;u can also update it if u want.

And I have few unsolved quest... moreUpdated your Android to lollipop 5.1 and also update your firmware as in the update center try to use sony companion on pc for updating if possible.If the screen problem persists contact service center they will replace the screen.

The Sony Xperia Z1, amazing battery life and super-large screen make this a good phone for watching videos and playing games. camera quality is also awesome.

Hi~ I just bought this phone. And I have few unsolved questions.
Currently my android version is 4.4.4 and my build number is 14.4.A.0.108. But there is a notification on the phone "update centre 2.3.0.A.0.10"
1. May I know should I update it??
2. May I know what is the disadvantages of this update?
3. May I know why sometimes I press camera but "camera not available"?
4. May I know why the file manager have advertisement?
5. May I know why sometimes I press "a" but the screen pressed "p" which the screen I pressed its like malfunction.
Thanks in advance. Hopes there is someone would able to help me off.

I have bought my Xperia Z1 more than 2 1/2 years ago and still doing very good. 1 day of battery for intense usage, and up to 3 days when not really used. It is still fast and screen is really good. Camera doing great pictures, even compared to modern phones. Water protection really good, I wash it regularly with soap without problem. Now I am thinking to move to Z5 as it is the last water resistant phone from Sony. New generation is not anymore certified.

I have sony xperia z1 and I think it s perfect mobile phone because it has a 2 GB RAm 20 MP and other perfect specifications ...If u need Telephone buy the sony xperia z1... :)

NoMatter, 27 Jun 2016Upgrade to 5.1. It's better v5.0.1 or v4.xI am in 5.1.1 and still having touch screen issue :(
