Andrew Georgy, 04 Apr 2014i going to buy a new Sony Z1 .. any one recommend this devi... moreIf you like it and test it to see how it works then go for it. There are issues after kitkat update. Before was an excellent phone, now it is anoying, almost unsuable ( can hear when i am being called, ui lags or opens randomly other apps, battery life is shorter). If it is with jelly bean i say go for it and stay on jb untill kitkat is fixed.
Z1 with jb was one of my best android phones ( had htc desire, sam galaxy s2, htc one s, htc one) so go for it under condition i ve mentioned above.
It is true that z2 is better in terms of hw ( don't know about receptiom, which is great on z1) so if u affort it will be better for u.

Guyss.....Good news for Z1 owners
"Sony to release new KitKat firmware next week to fix sound bug for Xperia Z1, Z Ultra and Z1 Compact users"
This update will solve the problem of the sound coming from the internal speaker rather than the external(main) speaker...
Its great to see how quickly SONY has responded to this problem and hope the will continue to do so..They are the best...
BTW....the update releases on/after 7th this month..!!

I just updated to Kitkat before 2 days !! Today My phone got hanged :( cant switch off too !! Anyone knows how to overcome this problem !!

i just got a kitkat update on my z1 last march here in the.philippines... and.its awesome... my battery can last upto 20hours with mobile networks on.. i.recommend to use SUS than.pc companion or OTA.. its 900mb but surely.you will.never get any.problem

I got kitkat update, its 305MB in size, i got OTA update, i updated it thru wifi, after update i cant attach image to contacts i tried. Many times, any one knows how to fix this problem, please let me know,

It's Nice and excellent phone from Sony in front this the Samsung S5 is nothing to beat it the features are all most same. and there is no camera quality in Samsung 16 mp but in Sony it's 20.7 and use age also so nice.

I used so many samsung phones but coming to this mobile the useage and mony for cost event it is released in the 2013 sep the specifications are equals to S5 no use of S5 in front of Sony X peria Z1 every thing will be same as Z1. it super phone from sony
