ravi , 30 Mar 2014I suggest u don't buy z1 coz it have lot of problems. i totaly agree with you everything about this phone is crap am a user of this handset to the pictures ain't looking good @all

has anyone else found that the self facing camera is quite yellow? If so is there anyway i can fix it?

switch to superior auto... and try taking a macro shot..
the mode itself changes to macro.. -_-

Sory guys.. how to grab screen in z1?? I try over n over according instruction in downloaded manual pdf still not grabbing the screen . Please help..

I just have my Z1 for 1 day. Its built quality is superb. Previously using SGS2 and Xperia Mini. Besides the darker black levels Samsung's Amoled has, everything others is Sony taking the lead. The Z1's speaker is a little soft but ringtones is consider audible in noisy places. No distortion at highest levels. The sound quality from the earphone plug is excellent (tested with stock earphones from Sony). The LCD screen is clear enough to be seen under bright sunlight in middle brightness. Camera is far superior than SGS2. Crisp and clear picture, even closeups (Z1 doesn't have a macro mode) is better than SGS2's macro mode! Haven't tested all its features yet. But I tried to use a normal pencil or pen to touch the screen, it doesn't seems to work. Or is this only work for Z Ultra?? Overall, you won't regret owning Z1. SGS2 lasted me 3 years and it's still in good condition except that it hangs almost everyday. This Z1 for me should also last for a few years at least with its higher specs.

Sony should have tested more before releasing this update. It is better to stay longer on jb which worked just fine and then switch to a stable kitkat.
My money were all good, no issues with them so i expect the same.

pram, 30 Mar 2014my cell phone dint responsed suddenly .. it is switched off... moreYou have a reset button near sim card. Try to see if that works. Maybe try to connect the charger to see if there is any action ( red led, green led). Or search on the internet hard reset...good luck

Hw is excellent, display good but not the best and a little big and heavy for 5 inch phone.

How did you update your Z1 to KitKat? OTA update or through Sony PC companion?? BTW I just bought the phone yesterday in replacement for my neo L and I'm loving it. My only gripe with it is some bugs from the latest 4.3 firmware update such as no vibrations from time to time and touch/dial tone/lock screen sounds seems non-existent even when turned on. Still, a great phone.

the best cell phone I ever had...but the kit kat update....causing all kind of troubles..but I am not sure that I can blame sony.....
