pinoy, 16 Feb 2014Planning to buy new phone whch is better z1 or lg g2, tnxwhat ever the people say about z 1. dont take it too much. lg g 2 is the best phone... every aspects its the perfect... z1 battery drains without doing nothing. even its in standby mode.
z1is heavy. large phone but the screen is little

pinoy, 16 Feb 2014Planning to buy new phone whch is better z1 or lg g2, tnxInterms in gimmick features there is a lot on LG G2 but its useless like S4. Interms in quality, obviously Z1. Z1 feels premium in the hand. You feel like your money is get what you want unlike G2 its only a plastic. Interms in performance the 2 handset is great and so good but if you are more in multitasking G2 gets lag when there are many apps running, you will notice lag and Z1 got none.

mohashem, 15 Feb 2014I had the same problem because of wrong way of update, i ad... moreSince you have your z1 updated to the latest firmware. Do you seem to notice any issues with the built in equalizer? I use a custom equalizer setting to get the speaker to sound more clear and produce more bass. None of the equalizer settings work when playing sounds through games, apps and youtube. This results in a weak sounding loudspeaker. Sound quality only in walkman is very good. It appears that the equalizer is only activated in walkman now.

TINA, 14 Feb 2014guys i bought this phone 2 months back but nw its giving me... moreI had the same problem because of wrong way of update, i advice you to contact sony customer care and theybwill solve the problem by re instal the update again, and all other problems with movie app and other problems has been vanished after the latest update date in 30/01/2014, now the device become the best smart phone i ever used
Note : i was a samsung fan and this is my firist sony device and really it is better than samsung specially no lagging, no hanging, no over heat

BTW, ... moreHi, thx for your reply.. anyway as per my nickname, I bought a Note 3 LTE Version, and still I keep my Sony Z1 because I love the design of the phone as I claimed earlier. Now maybe I can have fair comparison between the two.
1. Display: G.Note 3 is far superior and dynamic in term of colour display (AMOLED). In the other hand, Sony tend to display soft but natural colour. Both are excellently sharp display with no visible pixel.
2. Sound: Note3 have better sound and louder but crack at max volume. Sony sound is on the low side but at least it won't crack even at max volume.
3. Gaming: Note3... Test it yourself...
4. Camera: For me at least, both camera are equally good but Sony have an edge on higher megapixels. For outdoor use, won't have much different though.
5. Construction and design: Oh this is the best part of Sony Z1. But Note3 is best among all Samsung.
6. Battery: I charge both once per day.
7. UI: Both are good but Samsung are more user-friendly. Sony UI is a bit dull although both are not much different.
8. Format & Data: Note3 have an edge on user data transfer as it is equip with USB 3.0 and support almost all kind of format out of the box.
9. Processors: Same. No lagg at all.
At the end, it's up to you of what you want. I'm the only 1 using both Sony and Samsung among my friend. Most of them are Note3 and S4 users.

If you mean playing local files or streams, MX Player is commonly regarded as the best available on Android. A free ad supported version is available on the Play Store (play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mxtech.videoplayer.ad).
If you're actually looking to "obtain" the files, have a look at TV Portal (tvportalapp.com).

Guys I boughtthis phone 2 month back but now its giving me to much problems im not happy with this phone @ all,it is switching its self off sometimes the whole day and it does the heating problem as well im seriosly regreting ma self for buying this handset
