My sony xperia z1 was waterproof as sony says. When my mobile got wet in rain and it didn't start i send it to Sony Service center and now they are saying that your charging cap was damaged. Even though it is damage and warranty not consider they are telling me that the Estimated cost for repair is more than the original mobile cost.... What should i do if it was waterproof then what the hell it is????

Lucifer, 07 Oct 2015M planning to buy z1. I should buy t or not. Suggest me guys plzIt is a nice phone with great battery life. With great primary camera. And smooth performance promised for a long time. But if you are a selfie lover then skip this phone because its secondary camera is only drawback of the phone. Otherwise it is one of the phones in Android market.

AnonD-448867, 07 Oct 2015water proof? don't ever try. it will cost you 28000 INRHmm...don't know exactly because my friends tested my phone under water in swimming pool for a min, nothing happened. But if it stays longer than that don't know what will happen, practically never tried and will never do in future. Because the rubber skirting of charging port got torn off due to excessive usage. And if I immerse it without the ports completely closed then it will be damaged.

Have any one tried night shots, great amazing at dim lights and no lights, as for the water proof the main reason for choosing this, try it and see for your self.... the manufacturer says dont use in salt water, tried my chances and I still love doing it as a diver all my pictures are some what amazing at reasonable deapths..... its a great phone for the price....

awesome phone better with android 5.1.1 and battery backup is good ,on comparing to samsung 1000 times better no words for hanging and quality clarity goood

But as you said if the camera quality is low and the pictures captured are pixelated. Then if your phone is new in its first 15days then hurry up to SONY Service center and explain them your problem first they will say it is working fine but don't just accept it, be stubborn and stay on it until they accept to replace your phone. Try this even it just crossed 15days mark some-times they do.

I went through all this and the phone I am using now is a replaced piece. The first one I bought had the same problem as yours. SONY replaced my first Z1 with this. And in no time it became King of smartphones in my college and still is now at-least in my class. Proud to own it.

Heating is very high
Camera is not better place suggest to adjust my camera settings

thank you vineet, and which app i use for better image quality in sony xperia z1.. because by inbuilt app, no better quality as compare to 20.7 mp camera. i can not set resolution and megapixel.

AnonD-398887, 05 Oct 2015i parches this mobile ..lolipop is already installed in it.... moreThe new Z1 with pre-installed Lollipop software is way better than Lollipop upgrade we get for old Z1's. They made a lot of changes for pre-installed version in software to give nearly as good battery life as old Z1's did with Jelly Bean. And yes it will not get heated that easily.

Having had the Z1 for 2 years, the battery began to die, going from 60% to zero. However, a new battery of ebay for £4.99 fixed it. It cost a tenner for it to be fitted by a local shop, but the phone is back to being great.

Would you tell me the procedure how to downgrade from Lollipop to KitKat? You know, i face a problem that the phone hides third party applications and I am unable to access my phone and SD storage.
