Scratch guard is a... moreThis is a feature of the Linux kernel that has been in use on desktop Linux since forever but not in Android prior to KitKat. Dont worry about it, its caching and actually helps performance and saves battery, its a good thing.
Basically it will try to use all RAM available, if more RAM is needed for a new app then this RAM can readily be overwritten without slowing down loading of the new app. If you try to open a previously opened app that is still cached in RAM it will be done insanely much faster than if it had to be loaded from the flash storage.

Scratch guard is available for both Front Glass and Back Plastic side....no more fingerprint and dust issues... :)
New issue observed:
Apps running in background are eating up too much of RAM...Today the total RAM used was 1.5 GB out of 1.66 GB available (even though the phone was in ideal state)...had to restart the phone to free RAM..
(Task Killer was of no use)

i love that they downsized the z1 without sacrificing the specs. it ay be just a few mm thicker than Z1 but for a small person like me, i think it is A-OK.
am still convincing myself though if is should shift back. am liking my son's blackberry but i miss sony's camera power. i might downgrade to Z ultra since am also after the writability of samsung's note 3

just saw it yesterday here in Philippines... This phone is great, I love the size, the screen, and the monster specs... The price is also cheap with its specs, Planning to buy after a a month... :-)

the phone is just amazing but only with 4.3. guys please dont update to 4.4 kitkat the worst ever update battery is draining too much faster. it might be a bug looking for a firmware update but dnt know when ll sony release it.

Sofi, 03 Apr 2014Screen not an IPS panel at all, it is TFT!..hmmmm actually it has a thin film transistor liquid crystal display being advanced with in plane switching technology. simple check...watch the viewing angles and the excellent contrast....if you have one.....rumors are only like hallucinations...............

Style: Praise by ALL tech reviewre
Camera: great on outdoor, ppor indoor
April 7, will get a minor software update, (availability depends on your region)
Construction: Metal frame, polished back, dragontrail screen.
Display: IPS/TFT it doesnt matter, just see it yourself.
Gaming: supports dual shock, top notch GPU+x-reality to enhance color reproduction.
Video: Great with X-reality.

pixel means nothing. The camera is ok, just don't expect too much.

Is it better to upgrade Z1c to kitkat or use same JB..please advice as upgrade notification is received
