Hi to you all what people need to understand is that some countries are always going to get the phones way before others like by example the uk always seems to be behind a lot of countries like france and germany by example.

I would be getting mine from the middle east as they get phones pretty much 1 week before it gets to europe and the prices are way cheaper there but also as i am in africa we have the rights to bargain on the prices of phones so if the phone cost like let's say 300 pounds or euros i could get the reseller to sell it to me at 250.

I can't wait to get my hands on it such a powerhouse but yet very pocketable phone, after that i would be getting the moto g.

"Its coming out in Nordic countries already end of this month, less than 2 weeks to go. Price is just a bit above Xperia Z and far below Z1, promising. "

I read quite a number of comments and cannot agree more to one of it which is size. I also find the latest models too big to handle and a bit awkward to pocket. Xperia Z1 compact comes with my size without compromise on performance such as similar models of Samsung and HTC. Great phone.

Here all Xperia phones are launched at a price and they will stay close to that price until they get an official pricecut after some 4 to 6 months. That goes for web stores as well as brick and mortar stores.

How come this phone is not among the top 5 in daily interest. There must be something wrong here.

Well, the battery in Z1 Compact is less powerful but you won't feel the difference since smaller resolution uses less power. In conclusion Z1 Compact is Z1 just in smaller dimensions.

So the Z1S to USA T-Mobile will be optimized for frequency bands. "The Xperia Z1s supports LTE and HSPA+ 42. Its LTE modem is Category 4, so it handles the maximum speeds of T-Mobile's upcoming 20+20 LTE network. "

Can anyone clarify whether purchasing an international version from Europe or Asia (when released) will support thos same Tmobile Bands?

If the launch price is 550USD I will be one of the first customers to buy it. The Z1 was offered at around 1000USD at launch at ebay (now 570). That was my point, so I calculated at least 850USD as initial price for the Z1C. 350USD (850-500) savings are not a small amount. I do not want to discuss about unconfirmed prices. I have as confirmed price 449 pounds which means 740 USD. Well without sarcasm I really hope you will get a functional phone for 550. Greetings.

AnonD-209094, 14 Jan 2014A Sony employee has told one of his friends that the Z2 Com... moreWell, with all respect to the posters, I could talk about how amazing specs the Z3 Compact could/will have. I think we should discuss here about how outstanding the confirmed Z1C is. I see however one positive aspect talking about the new leaked Z2 (I did not read anything about a Z2C yet), people tend to wait for the latest model, so maybe the Z1C could reach more customers with an affordable price if the Z2 is announced in Barcelona, as well I like how sony is giving a simple designation to their phones, with the letter Z reserved for the high end ones. I think combinations like ZR, Z-Ultra or names like advance are confusing until you read the specifications to figure out what segment a phone belongs too. Well I really think with the Z1C sony will discover how many people prefer such a size, in fact they always knew but either they were not able to make such a device or they simply forgot about their customer´s opinions. Greetings to all of you.

Nordic236, 14 Jan 2014Can someone tell me one thing, between Z1 and Z1 Compact, d... moreHi, the pixel density Z1C(341) vs Z1(441) should answer your question. However in my opinion you will barely notice big differences, unless you need to see the display at a very close range. In my case the primary reason to choose the Z1C over the Z1 is the size. I really need a mobile phone, not a mini tablet. Greetings to you.
