Actually iphone5s is really perfect for my hands, the only prob is i want xperia. I saw in pictures that compact is almost the same size as iphone.

Can someone tell me one thing, between Z1 and Z1 Compact, do I lose anything with smaller screen resolution? (1920x1080 against 1280x720)?

Best of all this will never be available with dual sim.

Its coming out in Nordic countries already end of this month, less than 2 weeks to go. Price is just a bit above Xperia Z and far below Z1, promising.

I love SONY phone's because they always include radio&card slot.other company will make good phone & remove some important features to discourage people from buying it.hope compact come to Airtel or MTN before the end of this week.

Z1C is only 6mm narrower than Z, not a big difference, esp when you consider that Z is only 7.9mm thick. The length is the biggest difference with 12mm but how much is it in percent? Only 8.6% smaller. The width is same, 8.6% smaller on Z1C, but the thickness is as much as 20% more. Cant say Z is big then.
Hard to calculate the exact volumes but lets say they didnt have rounded corners or sides, then the Z1C is 78302 mm2 and the Z is 77965 mm2. Numbers dont lie, Z is the smaller phone.
(edit, im still gonna get the Z1C, just saying)

Giordano, 14 Jan 2014I wonder about Sony Xperia Z2 Compact. How is it will look like?Hopefully Z2 and Z2 Compact will have all new design, the current design was breathtaking and by far the best design when Z came but then followed Z Ultra and then Z1 and now Z1C, its getting used up already. Maybe a very slightly curved front and back, like Nokia N9, just without the sharp corners and flat ends, that would be great.

A Sony employee has told one of his friends that the Z2 Compact will have a 4.5 inch Full HD display, thats more like it for my little eye. Shrink the side bezels and frame and it will not be much bigger than Z1 Compact. Anyway, thats at least 7 months away for international, maybe NTT DoCoMo will see it earlier but not much.

in my opinion inch size of this sony z1 compact is just fine.. coz in general, whether having small hands or not inches ranging from 4.0 to 4.5 is enough for all or maybe fit for all.. like me having cute hands minimum to 4.0 and limited to 4.3" size of smartphones, well this really is the right range for me, for others, you need to find other smartphones that fits your need...

So many people still think this Z1 Compact is a mid-range phone and believe it should be priced with a mid range price. But it has a High-End spec, tot it is still a bit too pricey to me, but people should take it as a High-End phone rather than a mid range....

And in Sony the bottom part remains unused whereas Samsung doesnt. In sony the Home button is a part of the screen so in 4.3 would be tiny thing in hand
