The true rival of all the Apple Iphones..... This is going to be a trend-setter. I was wondering why all the big players were going for large screens to define flagships.. Anyhow, glad to find a right sized phone with right specs. Thanks Sony!!!

IPS is a type of TFT:

Same as TN or PVA are types of TFT.

I just bought the z1 a few days ago and I'm loving it, but imma swap it out for the z1c when it comes out just because it's hard to text in it using one hand. Haha...

Yes, it has an IPS screen but doesn't have an IR blaster. This really is a great compact phone! I'm getting one soon. :)

How many phones can compete with the Z1 Compact? (None. It outspecs them so hard that it's just out of everyone elses league.)
Does that answer your question about the choice of retail price and capitalism in general?
