Finally, succesor of my Sony Acro S but still Acro S has more beautiful design... and what the use of 20.7 MP camera if it can only take 4:3 pictures ??

We need a review.If the screen is IPS and has IR Blaster then it would make in top 5 of year 2014.

If the specs are almost exactly the same with a few drawbacks (smaller battery, thicker, lower res), why retail price for z1 is slightly lower than z1 compact MSRP? It just does not make sense...

Come on guys, the PPI on this thing is thing is way_better_than_the_iphone_5S. Way better. Complaining about a PPI of 334 just shows how spoiled everyone is now, it's a great resolution for this screen size.

Z1 Compact and Z1S doesn't have a lot of diff. but its like GS4 and GS4 mini not a lot of diff. they just want people who cant handle 5.o inches phone to be more comfortable so they made this little great device

Do SONY smartphones get heated up during use ?? my friend had been using the Z1 and he sold it within 1 month. i'am really interested in Z1 compact . What about it ?

W0W ! Iam really impressed by the spec.. Its not just better than samsung galaxy s4 mini or htc one mini, Its better than both original smartphones (SGS4 & Htc one).. Its really similar to the size of the iPhone 5s but the Sony Xperia Z1 compact is better .. Great Job S O N Y

It's better than any mini smartphone in the market right now, infact it's better than the iPhone 5s and ofcourse 5c.
Since Sony xperia z .. Sony is doing a great job. Well done !

This is a good phone, Im currently using Sony Xperia V and I hope that Sony will be releasing a Flagship for this phone which is a removable battery.

Anonymous, 08 Jan 2014i beg to differ. im from the phils. too, and ive never had ... moreIm also here from the Philippines [Cebu] and I never got a bad experience about Sony's service centers. I do admit that it sometimes takes time for them to resolve any issues about the devices, but you just need to be patient.
