z1 compact is a brilliant phone. camera is good, battery is very superb, it plays all newest games with no lagg. it has 2gb of ram. a very good screen with amazing colors. if you have 300 euros, then buy this phone :D. it's 10/10

nice look, good handling. sound quality is very good and also battery is good. 75% charging done in 30 minutes, only camera is not so good but ok.

AnonD-344345, 23 Dec 2014.which is better..the z1 compact or the s4 lte-a???The S4 LTE-A has a very significant advantage in display clarity, and also slightly better camera with no flash bleed and most of all with a POWERFUL LED flash. The big downside of S4 is that the camera is often getting things wrong in non-optimal conditions but thats a well known old problem that affects all galaxy phones, Note 4 included.
If you have good eyes theres no way to be happy with Z1 Compact, the display is same as flagships more than 2 and a half years ago, thers simply noexcuse for that. If you cannot focus without moving the phone away from your face (ie if you are farsighted) it doesnt matter unless you use reading glasses but at that long viewing distance displays below 5 inches start getting very underwhelming to use anyway, so theres still a reason to go for S4 instead.

Call quality is awesome..
Only one prblm..... Poor camera software.. It lacks slow motion efct, 4k record and perfect colour reproduction.....
hope an update fix it.....

I`m using this phone now, and l`m sick of it already with its never ending problems. the applications suddenly freeze, the videos can not play and when it plays it took a long time to be opened. I took it 2 times to the maintenance and the only
thing they did is a format!

Z1C is the real phone size in my opinion, more pocketable, you can use with 1 hand, and have IPS Screen for more picture quality than S4.
By the way, you can't compare with galaxy S4 because it has more large size.
Large size phone always have more specs because it has more internal space for more components.
But specs of Z1C & S4 LTE is similar. That's plus point for Z1C.
The real battle is Z1 Compact vs Galaxy S5 mini / Z1 vs Galaxy S4 LTE

This phone is supposedly awesome but it shuts down all the time, saying it's due to high temperature! Like, what the hell, Sony? Before it was working fine but now, I couldn't even send a single text! IT SUCKS. DON'T BUY THIS AT ALL. You'll go crazy with these bugs. My brother had a z2 and it shut down too. That phone NEVER came back to life. Sony, I'm so disappointed! I will never buy your products again.

I will just upgrade mine with the last xperia compact version of year 2016. This will receive lollipop next year so it'll still be like a new phone for another year.
