Only bad thing is audio volume which is low.

I played some hard game with full graphic setting and i never got lag / freezing.
If you don't care about gaming, i think you know what i mean : )

I meant I didn't care about the fingerprint scanner of the s5 mini, but it is a good point that the Z1C easily scratches/ gets dirty. Maybe a screen protector could limit this though. To be honest, for what I will be using the phone for, there is probably little difference between the two. I just want a decent camera, a phone that doesn't lag / hang randomly and something which is reliable and not gonna break after a couple months!

Which is more reli... moreYou dont care about fingerprints? Well you will if you get this phone, the shatterproof sheet gets very scratched and then the fingerprints get very hard to remove so you wipe it more and it get even more scratches and... The circle of evil.
In addition, the shatter proof sheet makes touch uncomfortable and inefficient. Do yourself a favor and buy a phone with tempered oloephobic coated glass, no more scratches and no smudges, basically it almost cleans itself. In other words, S5 Mini COULD be an option but it depends on your taste. One thing is for sure though, S5 Mini was not always a great option but with the recent slimming of TouchWiz and removal of bloatware the 1.5GB RAM in S5 Mini will do a great job performance wise.

About hard gaming and heating, i still can hold it. I use full graphic resolution setting in that game (no compromise) and aprrox 80% brightness display. You can reduce heating problem by reducing graphic resolution setting in that game + 20% brightness display. In my opinion, graphic quality is still good.
by the way i'm sorry if you feel i'm not a average user. I think you will happy with Z1C. This is a powerfull 4,3" android smartphone.

- Battery life: in my experience, 8 hours for average use. include gaming, music, proxy sensor app for smart case, chatting, calling, sms, wifi, browsing, download.
- Back: It easily smudges but easily to handle it, just add a cheap glare or matte screen protector.
- Call quality: Superb
- Heating problem: Just when you play a hard game.

S5 mini or Sony Xperia Z1 compact?
Which is more reliable? I think Z1 compact breaks a lot and has sudden death a lot? And random freezing?
Which has better camera?
Which has better screen?
Which is faster for browsing, facebook, reddit etc.
Which will last longer without needing an update?
I don't care about games, IR, fingerprint, heart rate etc.
So which phone should I buy?! Thanks!

hi owners, I am planning to buy this phone, but i wanted to know about your experiences after a while of use .. especially the below ..
- Audio Quality: incoming calls? putting calls on speakers?music Playback (through speakers and headsets)?
- Battery life: how long does it last on above average use .. ?
- back: how easily does it get smudges? metal objects like keys or even dust particles can scratch it .. ?
- Call quality: is there any network problem? sound clarity issues at the other side?
- is there any abnormal heating problem? like when you're typing of browsing .. or just the normal .. ?
