You can forget about SAR as a health risk since the frequencies of cellphones are too low to be ionizing, BUT it has been proven that phones with higher SAR values have better signal, so just go for the highest SAR value, if the SAR is very low then expect the phone to have a poor signal quality when far away from the mast.

Phone cannot be marketed if it is not within the FCC acceptable values, in the US the maximum SAR value is 1.6 watts per kilogram of human tissues, and some other localities have 2. The phone specified SAR value is the maximum radio frequency that the phone can emit, only in times that the phone is too far from the cell site or from which antenna its getting the signal. The Frequency referred as SAR is your phones strength to get signal even if it is very far from your operator's transmitter. So, if you are in a highly developed locality where cell sites are just located everywhere, forget about SAR.

Iphone has 0.9 W/kg, while Z2 has 0.38 W/kg rating, never heard Apple being sued for brain tumor...

Fantastic phone! Best choice for those who doesn't want huge screen but need high end power. Battery is also very good. It is just amazing and worth every cent I paid for it

After completely downloading the upadte. it is not updating, it telling like "error in updating". i tried to update multiple times, each time it heppens like before. Kindly help me...........:(

I use this phone to, I take shot for my friend and kid in waterboom. I did something different and it useful. I use a tape to close the speaker hole. It's safe and its good enough to safe your z1

LG G2 or Z1 Compact?If you care about your brain at all, don't get the Z1 Compact. The extremely high SAR value made me return it after trying to use it for an hour. (Now, 4 hours later, I'm still not able to think clearly, thanks to the radiation.)
If contemporary studies are to be trusted, buying this phone is like saying "please give me brain tumours ASAP".
Other than that, the interface is kinda nice, what little I got to see before I had to turn it off. And, of course, the possibility to taking pictures under water is golden. (Which is why I bought it to begin with.)
LG seems to have much better SAR values. MUCH better. (Actually, ANY phone seems to have much better SAR values.)
My next buy will be a LG.

Raihan, 05 Aug 2014What's About Picture Size ?? When you usually take the best... moreNo photo quality options is available though. It only shows resolution - 20.7(4:3 - 5248x3936), 15.5(16:9 - 5248x2952), 8(4:3 - 3264x2448), 8(16:9 - 3840x2160), 3(4:3 - 2048x1536), 2(16:9 - 1920x1080).
File type is JPG.
Photo comparison between 20.7 and 8:
Photo sharpness » 8MP. It shows greater details over the 20.7MP.
Colour saturation » 20.7MP. It saturate the colour giving you a 'wow' look
Colour accuracy » 8MP. Not saturating the colour. Just the right colour.
Size » 8MP is 2.4 - 3.1mb. 20.7 is 4.8 - 6mb.
Option » 8MP. More options to play. Superior auto and HDR is available.

I bought Z1 compact in the month of March which i could hardly use because of the camera problems and software problem... such a worst experience from Sony for the first time in my life...
Camera Problem : no 20 mp clarity for photos.
Software problem: after updating android version to 4.4.4 each restart is giving me duplication of album with smudged copies.
Worst experience with the support team and services on this due to which my issue is not yet fixed. Y can't sony refund me if they are unable to fix my issue..???

Betto , 04 Aug 2014Wonderful phone but today I took many pic underwater and no... moreI have experienced the same thing too i.e low sounds from speaker after taking photos underwater. All i did was open dead trigger(it's a game that does not allow the screen to go to sleep) and i turned my brightness to 100%. Aftwr a few minutes, the phone started heating up and the water in the speaker got evaporated and now, everything iss back to normal.

I bought SP 1 year ago . It has 12 MP 1080HD Camera but in Best photo quality It takes pic which size is only 500-800KB avg. !!! Thats why i ask you ... Plz reply
