yeah .... this phone is awesome... the size is nice and fit in my hand..amazing clear camera, no lagg/crash while operating, cool design, i got the pink one..i recommend it.. truly i am

I have this phone for 2 years now, in my opinion this is very good mobile phone wity very nice battery life and no lagg when working or playing games, but there is also few problems with this phone: very bad selfy camera especially in night conditions, very quiet speaker beacause of its waterproff function, and in my opinion small screen for its perfomances.
In all of that said i im very satisfied with my choice of buying this phone, but also I wouldn"t recommend anybody to buy this phone in 2017. because now you have a lot of better phones in market and lot cheaper.

Had this phone for well over 2.5 years. Great phone, really. Two issues: Reading for longer peroids of time gets tiresome after about 20 minutes. Also the screen ("shatterproof glass") or whatever the marketing term is is crap. It got scratched after 3 days of carrying in my jean pockets. I'f I'm not mistaken many Z1C users complained about this and sony corrected the ("shatterproof") glass concept for the Z3C.

This was a desirable phone back in the day. But then I did the wrong thing and bought Xperia M4 Aqua which is absolutely crap compared to this. It is still a pity that there are some Z1C models with plastic back, but other than that, it seems great, beautiful and handy to mw

Looks absolutely new on the outside. 20 mpx camera makes poor quality fotos inside, on low light conditions. Superior auto mode uses 8mpx. The speaker is quiet due to waterproofing and I use maximum brightness for a decently display. My Gf uses Samsung A3 2016 with good display and great camera. Suppose Sony Z3c is a better choice too.

I just bought a new Z1c and looks great on yellow, but camera is disappointing, it's worst then Sony vivaz 8Mpx I used before. The speaker is quiet, display is dim. Frustrating phone... I should have bought the Z3c instead.

With advanced v18 kernel i got the record point 60234.!
Good upgrade, go more stable, better visual, all is ok

The mx rom v8.5.0 with advanced kernel v18.1 is the smoothest and best battery life and good wifi signal!
No bugs and everything works good.
On antutu test i had mine record points 59124,(without overclock) on this rom.
i will never go back to another.

I really like design and bodywork here, mine is not waterproof anymore due to body damages done by many falls on the ground.
I would like to buy new Sony Xperia Z1 Compact but 2017 edition, I dont like Xperia X Compact glossy plastic finish.
To buy new Xperia Z1 compact or wait for similar new model in 2017, will there still be Sony compact models with metal and glass feeling instead of glossy plastic ones?

Even authorized service refuses to provide this guarantee. The best you can do is purchase the battery, the back panel and the gluing/insulating frame and following the battery replacement procedure on YouTube you do the job yourself.

For users of this phone, when you learn how to flash your phone with flashtool, then you can select the right ftf firmware of your country.
Ore you can install with fastboot the twrp recovery, then flash the custom modified rom.
I use eXistenZ Premium v10 with kernel v18.1 dark.
