I just buy this phone 3 days ago, and guess what??? Man, this is amazing phone, like super car, small size but very powerful engine and beauty. :-) The screen is the best among other Xperia I have seen on store, very good viewing angle, you can see the screen clearly at sunlight it awesome (I live near equator, tropical nation). Battery is very good, I'm heavy user, often browsing and play game sometime, the battery survive about 16 hours with Stamina Mode.
I hope my short review can help you chose the good phone

for all those who have upgraded to kit kat
has the battery life improved.
has the camera quality and functions improved.
is there any issue after upgrading,
please update as i am thinking about upgrading to kit kat

i compare z1c to galaxy s4. s4 is one step ahead. i go for s4. buz full hd oled display,almost same battery life as z1c, slim, excellent loud speaker and call quality(its important to me!! )almost many games n apps r well optimized for s4! then z1c, excellent 13mp camera ennof for me.its old buy its a gold flagship .

I have been using this smartphone for one month. Love it. One downside is it has speaker only on the left grill and sound is low. Very fast, camera is very good after upgrading to latest kit kat well except in low light conditions( colour seems to fade but it's not bad). Otherwise very sharp details and contrast.For battery reducing to 720p is worth it.

22 min-music spotify. During these WiFi and stamina mode is always turned on, a couple of short calls and messages. If you don't play game battery improves a lot. And if you are using for calls only it can last for more than one day easily. If you can buy it, you'll love your phone

Hey all, good phone all round. a few little issues, dont know if they that big of a deal though, it charges to about 90% then the notification light goes green, shouldnt it go green at 100%, so is the battery still ok? also, when adding events in the calender, they dont ever get created, does anyone know why? Thank you

I've been using this phone for the past few weeks and i absolutely love it. It's very cheap for what it provides, 600USD/430EUR for great 21mpx camera, quad 2,2ghz , 2 gigs of ram, beautiful looks AND waterproof? I dunked it in a glass bowl of water just for fun in front of some friends and they were all shocked, it's a great party piece. Excellent performance, brilliant screen. I've been using Sony cell phones since 2005, they used to be great, then they started turning mediocre, the Ray i had before this was good enough but not perfect however this Z1 compact is so far extremely good, more than what i expected. Just feels like a solid piece of technology well worth it's price.
To answer some questions the battery, with very heavy use (constant talking, mobile data on the road, wifi sometimes) and 30-40% brighness on screen drops from fully charged in the morning to 20-30% battery life by late night when i get home.
I rolled on kit kat manually yesterday and so far no change for the worse at least, i've been toying with it constantly for this past hour with wi-fi on, browsing Zedge and it only dropped 4% in battery life

I'm looking foward to getting this phone soon coz my bb 9360 micro usb port came out and I don't wanna get it fixed coz I don't wanna waste money. So tell me does this phone hav any problems? Are there problems after upgrading to Android Kitkat? What are some improvements with Kitkat?
