Color saturati... morewell..thanks for your measurements BUT what i meant was colors are more accurate on Z2....and that gains the upper hand ...Many people in fact like the saturation of Amoled but what i like is more accurate and vivid colors rather than just bright and glowing displays.....Color Fidelity, Xperia Z2 wins.!!!

amal, 13 Jul 2014what is the average battery life of xperia z2I am an average user ....for me it lasted througout the day...roughly its 18 to 20 hours with full charge and in stand by mode it says 3-4 days!

I have pretty much used or owned them all and having owned the Z2 since its release, early adopter here, I have never had any, repeat ANY of the issues you describe. The only real heating issue is supposedly whilst recording 4K videos which I don't do! Scoring the build quality as 5/10 is plainly laughable. If you don't like the phone, fine, take it back, sell it or whatever but don't come on here telling pork pies! Thanks.

Does anyone notice the issue in "Contacts-Myself-photo"...?? I am unable to add my photo and my contact number. If I add my photo, it gets tilted to the left side and if I add my number it brings a number 440000000.

The screen is still auto sensing, which is realllyyy annnoying :@ :@ camera has heating problem and apps crash after using the cam for 3-4 mins

U cant use all typ of covers if u want to use the charging dock. U hav 2 eithr buy a flip cover or usb magnet charger

Color saturation is measured by color gamut.
Z2 has 129 % sRGB gamut
HTC m8 has 103%
s5 can tune that. It has different gamuts at different modes.
cinema mode: 106%
pro photo mode: 107%
adapt display: 128%
dynamic mode: 150%
So depending on the mode you can make super AMOLED display more or less saturated.
But it's not possible for z2.
Z2's display is great and IMO it's the second best LCD after m8 and the most vivid LCD by far.
But it's a saturated display and don't dare to call it natural. A natural display is a 100% sRGB panel.

Well having this phone for the past 4 weeks, I can honestly say I'm not impressed!
For a top end phone it's very "meh" after coming from a HTC one.
Pros:
Big Screen
Excellent Battery Life
Great sound
Throw
Cons:
UI is seriously basic
Camera prone to overheating
Constant app crashes
General overheating issue when pushed for more than a few minutes
These are just a few niggles which are causing me to really start to hate this phone! When it does work, it's great yet that doesn't seem to be that often.
Even talking to someone, after a few minutes the phone is stupidly hot and being from a PC technical background, this is seriously not good for the components housed inside such a small case!
All that heat is pretty much shortening the lifespan so I expect in 12-18 months, lots of owners will be left with nicely designed door stoppers!
Anyhows, when it doesn't keep crashing, the sound output is far superior to any other mobile device I've heard, Display is vibrant, images are crisp and colours don't look washed out.
Camera does require a bit of messing about to get decent shots (stay away from the auto) and you can get some very good shots with zero graining (again, requires some serious tweaking with the settings).
The actual audio quality when making or receiving a call is also very good and there are some setting you can change to improve it even more.
UI is very, very basic along with some of the settings for altering the display, wi-fi, bluetooth and myriad of other things.
Again, not what I expect from a Flagship phone.
After the problems I've experienced and talking to friends, this is one phone (I'm sorry to say) I will not recommend to people.
If I had more time, I would have posted a more in-depth review so apologies if it seems a bit rushed and sparse.

Bought this phone recently.. And been using for 2weeks
Best of it;
Battery performance
Design
Feel in hands :looks like a real gadget to hold on
Build beautifully
Cons :
See lot of flaws/bugs..which I hope gets fixed in the next software update/release
Gets overheat all the time if I use continously for half n hr or one hr.. Wish I bought this phon in summer..
