Except loudness...but I'm willing to live with very good loudness, because best loudness doesn't compensate all that M8 lacks.

AnonD-263868, 24 May 2014Is there an over heating issue with this phone? I'm confuse... moreM8 and Z2 are both great phones and latest generation flagships. The Z2 is water and dust proof, and the camera is 21 mp compared to the 4 mp of the m8 (ultra pixels don't make up for the poor resolution) so Z2 would easily be my personal choice.

Anonymous, 24 May 2014Yes, you are right!
Z2 is not a JBL sound box.
Moreover, ... moreEvery one has his or her Opinions and needs with the speaker. Some want it for quality and some for loudness. You are the first Sony user who understood my opinion as it seems.
Have a nice day. BTW I don't own any of the three phones.

AnonD-263868, 24 May 2014Is there an over heating issue with this phone? I'm confuse... moreNo heating issues!
Z2 has "built._in COOLING" technology
Samsung s4, s5, note3: HTC m7, m8, one max: Apple iPhone 5c, 5, 5s :all have no COOLING technology
Z2 has tempered glass body and Z2 has only a normal heat convention*
Plastic phones has only an advantage which is neither hot nor cold for a while
Glass and aluminum premium smartphone has quick heat convention and it is a NORMAL condition and it is cool VERY SOON!
And the gap has fully waterproof and it has been confirmed!
So you can buy Z2 happily!
Have a nice day,

Z2 is not a JBL sound box.
Moreover, everyone doesn't like noisy louder sound, and it can be distrub surrounding and it cannot be privacy in call quality
Louder sound can make your conversations to hear near by people
Thanks!

Anonymous, 24 May 2014S5 has mono speaker and cheap plastic plate with high price... moreRead my comment fully. I'm also saying that z2 has a richer sound than s5. But s5 has a louder sound. You believe it or not. And xLOUD doesn't help that much.
I'm just comparing the speakers so don't bring the plastic argument in between as I'm not comparing these 2 phones.
If you want to see, go to gsmarena's review of z2. It gained an average rating whereas m8 and s5 gained good ratings. So they are louder.
Z2 has better sound than s5 and there's no doubt about it but when a call comes, I just care about loudness and not how sweet my ringtone sounds.
Both speakers have their advantages. And for listening music, many people prefer earphones instead. And if I want to hear music loud, I turn on my laptop which blows even the m8 away with 89 dB of stereo from the JBL speakers.
Just understand that people may have different needs. Many people just need the speakers for calls and they don't care that they are stereo or not. For them, s5's speaker will be better speaker and for the music enthusiastic people, stereo speakers are better.

xperia z4 or z5 would be the most amazing and perfect android phone from sony... as i hv gone to buy this its damn amazing used everything it was feeling perfect but when i opened camera it was showing error went to another device in showroom and camera was pretty amazing bt looking at reviews i wanted to check 4k if camera really stops after recording for a while. yes, it does after recording for few minutes and even that recording is not perfect sound and video doesnt match in that video its corrupt. The phone is excellent with the most amazing and sexy looks but think spending so much and seeing error in camera which is the best part of it. Bought iphone 5s coz im done with samsung used s2,note 2 and s4. will buy xperia in future coz i love the design :D

darkgamer, 24 May 2014Actually, m8 have seperate amplifiers fir both the speakers... moreS5 has mono speaker and cheap plastic plate with high price tag!
M8 is nice but Z2 is amazing!
In my Z2: sound quality is incredibly rich*****
To amplified incoming calls,
(1) Change your ring tone or notification sound and it is easy way
.(2). Connet your Z2 to your computer
My computer>Z2> internal storage> and then drag and put audio files to ring tone folder or notification folder
(3) setting> sound> sound enhence> turn on xLoud (sound engine)

Anonymous, 23 May 2014He's just reading from copypasted specs. No thinking needed.Very funny! I explained all of you only one detail"built_in COOLING technology"
OK, Here's more details
50 C is dangerous forsmartphone?
Silcone, PBC, metals are inside the smartphones!,
Even plastic, can resist more than 100'C
You can watch Youtube Video of the chinese chef who boiled his Xperia Z, in 100 Celsius,
And it is OKand has no damage from it,
It has no surprise as 100C is a very low temperature when we know that. Silicone melts at 1414 C, copper at 1085 C.
Many CPUs has a shutdown temperature of only 105 C, and it is too low and it is OK for smartphones*****
IF it would get unpleasant to hold at 50C or 60C and IF it can give you burns, it is only a jealous opinion to Z2 or you are a reptile creature*
You should learn your own body temperature!
Be honest!
Have a nice day,

AnonD-89109, 23 May 2014The reviews lie.
M8 speakers have amplifiers, Z2 don't. ... moreActually, m8 have seperate amplifiers fir both the speakers ans z2 has only 1 for both of them. M8 has a much deeper, richer and louder sound.
Comparing z2 to s5 is a different matter. The s5 is full 10 dB louder than z2. In return, z2 has a better and stereo sound. S5 is better for recievimg calls and notifications whereas z2 is better for music listening and gaming experience.
It's better to compare apples to apples. HTC m8 is better than both s5 and z2 in every way possible. If matches s5 in loudness and beats z2 in quality.
BTW, did you purchase m7?
Have a nice day

AnonD-119255, 23 May 2014simply ,Over heating means battery drain very fast. No, and thats not why he is worried anyway. You can try to change the topic but i am not going there.
Update to my previous post, i didnt include anything about the battery, in general li-ion/po batteries should stay below 70 degrees but its not a problem since the heat from the chipset is the only temperature reaching 90-100 degrees, from there one can more or less apply radiation "inverse-square law", there is no danger of dangerous temperatures reaching the battery, and as i said the Xperia Z survived boiling with battery and everything (but surely it reduced the batteries capacity, li-ion batteries swell at that temp, causing irreversible degradation)
