This is an amazing device. Battery holds on for a day and a half with web browsing games and some late night reading. Camera is ok. Not superb like in the s6.but it gets the job done. I don't know about the waterproofing issue. And don't upgrade to lollypop. Ussd codes re not working. Hope they fix it in Android 6.but the design and the build quality is fantastic. Go for a black one. It can run any game there is without a single hickup. It does get heated a bit. Not too much. Just like any other phone. Played Asphalt 8 for an hour without a over heating problem. This may give you an idea. All in all this is an amazing phone with good features. I would recommend this phone to anyone

All the phones I've had in the past 6-7 years have been the Sony Xperia line. Starting with Xperia S, Xperia Z, Xperia Z2 now Z3.
Very good quality phones. Especially if your well into Android OS. These phones are quick and are quite developer friendly. Once you unlock your bootloader, the world is your oyster. I've even had Kindle OS running on my Z2.
If your are the type that does not like to tinker, as long as your read the manual and don't do silly things like submerging your phone in a pool of water without being 100% sure all flaps are closed, you would be alright.
To be honest, I have experienced a fogged up camera lens on my z2 before, and this was when I accidentally dropped the phone in a pot of stew (don't ask how!) and washed it under cold water in the kitchen sink. Phone worked fine, just had a condensation patch on the rear camera lens. It was gone in about 2 hours of normal use.
Condensation, can easily happen to "water-proof" items. Especially if the liquid the phone is immersed in is much colder that the phone itself. e.g Keeping the phone in your jeans pocket for hours then suddenly taking it out and putting under a really cold tap.
All in all the Z3 is a good phone, and it can still hold its own against the S6 and iphone 6.
I believe its an even better deal than the newer Z5.
ps: there are minor difference between the Z2 and Z3 (just looks really, internals are virtually the same). If your unlock the z2 bootloader, you can overclock it to 2.7Ghz which is even faster than stock Z3. My z2 has been permanently on 2.7Ghz for the past year plus (not tried it on z3 yet. could reach 3.0ghz).Obviously your have to know what your doing....
Would I recommend this phone? I would in a heartbeat. Without a doubt!

I want to find out how to update my z3 software. As of now I can not download an application or even update the existing applications. The phone was attacked by virus. In an attempt to solve the problem, I think I deleted the DRM license certificate.

My phone was absolutely great until suddenly after couple of months the battery drain soo badly. In the power management before the problems start it says 2 days in stamina mode now only 17 hours. Omg can someone help why this things happened?

Eve... moreHOW ABOUT HEATING UP of this phone... as it is water proof and glass made.... does it heat up quikly like XPERIA Z2 while using camera.... kindly anyone explain me about heating up... I am not Mobile Gamer ... but watch videos and use camera alot for 1080p rec and photos.....I just refuse to buy Z2 because of its heating up issue as it heats up quikly and one can't use camera for long time..... and can't rec 1080p for long time so guys HELP me..... I am also considering to buy LG G3....
