Amazing phone, better than laggy Samsungs and basic iPhones, I am extremely satisfied. Also inserted 128GB micro SD card.

I HAVE ONE OF THIS. IT'S GOOD BUT JUST DON'T TRUST ITS WATERPROOF FEATURE.
I really like sony xperia especially the quality of their images. I love sony than all other phones in the market now because it's waterproof! I just bought sony xperia z3 which cost me around 41,200php (this amount includes 2,000php insurance from the store where a bought it from so the phone alone is roughly around 39,200php) . Everything worked so well. I tried to read some reviews about it and most of them complained about its waterproof capability and that sony is not held liable for any damage due to water damage. I was thinking, maybe they didn't make use of their xperia with so much care. Upon buying, I ask if is it really waterproof and they said yes. Moreover they said that the water won't even get inside the ports if it is properly closed (they are referring to the charger and memory card/sim card slots). So to make sure, I bought a dock charger so that I won't be opening the charger slot from time to time that will cause its cover to loose which makes it easier for the water to get inside the phone. Unfortunately, just this December, my z3 is not working anymore. I tried to use it in a pool for a while and took a photo submerged around half meter deep and when I got home, the lense of the camera has fog and water already and I totally cannot use it anymore. I already tried it before into the water and the only thing that goes wrong with it is that the screen is not functioning well for a few minutes and the speaker too but later on, it will come back to its normal state. I tried to call the store to assist me and they told me that I might failed to close the ports well before using it into the water. It's like hello? I paid so much for this, of course, I really made sure and see to it that the ports were tightly closed before I used it to the water. And for the record, it's the only phone in my life that only reaches 8 months (since all my previous phones were with me for 2 to 3 years before I replaced them and I gave them to my relatives still in good condition). It was then that I realized that all the reviews I have read about its questionable waterproof ability was true. This phone is indeed good but for your assurance, just don't gamble to use this phone into the water if you want it to last long. Right now, my phone is totally not working. I cannot use it anymore.

It is superb phone, just use carefully, protect it with case. My Z3 works perfectly. Also inserted 128GB micro SD card. Sony phones are better than boring iPhones and laggy Samsung phones...

Anonymous, 26 Dec 2015Is it in a lolipop or kitkat?My Z3 works with KitKat perfectly. I always ignore lollipop update. KitKat is much better and bug free software.

[deleted post]No you can't. It will stay lollipop again. You need to root your phone and flash custom KitKat rom. But it is not easy and I don't recommend you to do that. Also it can void your warranty. Use it with lollipop it is not that bad.

I just bought z3 a week ago brand new in a lolipop version. If i would reset my phone, do you think it will go to kitkat version?
They say that kitkat version is the best in z3?

I have had my Sony for a year now and I still LOVE IT!! Everyone around me has new IPhone 6 or Galaxy 6 and I am still proud to own and boldly talk about my Sony z3. The dual speakers and camera are still my favorite part of the Sony

its been one year i am using this phone and this is the most disgusting phone ever made i was samsung fanboy and tried something new and today the mobile's touchscreen is not working. if you drop your phone it will break
