KAVITA, 10 Feb 2015Is Sony Xperia Z3 a good phone ? Does it have good features... moreIt does have 4K video recording. But demands heavy processor and eats battery (and does get hot). Otherwise you can download new features for the camera.
Soundwise its good on the Output (Sony knows sound) Only the levels could be better on stock. But i just recently rooted and installed XLoud so its way better.
The phonespeaker does suffer from the waterproofness and is not the best. But to me that is not important.

Pools generally are chlorine or bromine, both of which would be classed as "fresh water". The only salt water swimming pool I know of is called the Sea.

And not inside a swimming pool neither the beach, but inside a can of fresh water, z3 the next day died. You people have to know that when you submerge the device in water, any water, you risk. It's a fact that electronics doesn't go well with water.. be careful. I wouldn't recommend to submerge the device in water. It's just water resistant, not waterproof as sony claims.

The Sony submersion rating is only good for FRESH WATER. And only provided that all ports and covers are firmly closed and sealed.
Most swimming pools are chlorine or salt-water based and NOT FRESH WATER.
The small print clearly says that the phones SHOULD NOT be used in any swimming pools or the sea/beach. These phones ARE failing when used in chlorinated and salt water.
Sony IS NOT replacing all of the phones which are damaged due to water.

its got face recognition to lock your phone which i think is a better touch than a fingerprint which is awful on both iphone and samsung

And z3 speakers reached 70-80 db in test...that is just 5 db lower than htc m8 speakers
Dont see how is that low volume sound?!
That is quite an achievement for waterproof speakers...
