I made a query regarding scratch proof/resistant glass from xperia care through online chat with the customer service representative. As we can see most of the specs shown on gsmarena epecially when it comes to sony xperia line are scratch resistant/proof, they dont specify whether what type of glass did they use. They concluded that it may be either in form Corning Glass and Dragon Trail Glass or other glass material around.

The Z3 Compact after 2 weeks use: Brilliant! Fast,nice looking, great camera and easy to use. There is no better phone. Some people may have another brand phone that they prefer but anybody that says these phones are crap has no clue.

Just got my Z3, i just love it.. Though the size of the icons differs from z1 and z2.. But sound quality is unbeatable..

I bought xperia z3 white last wednesday. this is the first time i bought a sony instead of samsung. I found that
1. with only 2 minutes of recording the back of the phone became quite heated up.
2. when you call someone and switch to speaker mode, the voice loudness is extremely low. probably half of the full sound of any samsung device
3. i also found the phone having very bad results of pictures in low light when i compared it with my friend's samsung galaxy s5
since i discovered these things, i sold the phone on a loss after two days and bought a galaxy note 4. i am really happy with what i did.
I dont know why a company as big as sony has these lame software errors.
they have a really incompetent testing team i believe

Bought Sony Z3 Copper on 6th November. Phone looked amazing.
After full charge , i tried to use the sketch app and noticed that the center part of the screen wasn't responding. Wrote to sony they suggested to check with diagnostic test available in setting and it showed middle part of the screen had a problem. Even updated to latest version which the asked in the email. Phone still had the problem. Went to sony service center and asked for a refund.. They said we can only replace the device that too becaue u came in 7 days of purchase. I came back and wrote to sony again asking for a refund. They asked to submit the phone at the service center and wait to hear from their service head. After 2 days the service head called and confirmed that the cheque would be made within 7-14 days. It sucked ! You spend so much and have to wait. I moved from apple to a sober strong looking android phone and ended up with a really bad experience.
Loved sony products in the past .. but this was a disappointment.

I have observed that Proximity Sensor of Xperia Z3 does not work when phone is kept horizontal. In fact I have found the same type of working in all Sony Xperia phones during my visit in a Sony Center at Noida. I mean to say that during call when phone is kept vertical the proximity sensor work properly i.e. it switch off the screen when phone is moved near our body. But during call when phone is kept horizontal and it is moved near our body, the proximity sensor does not switch off the screen. I have not observed such type of working in other phones i.e. Samsung/LG/HTC etc. I am not able to understand why Sony has designed proximity sensor in such a way and what is the logic or benefit of such type of functioning of proximity sensor. I have also observed that proximity sensor does not work properly in Xperia Z1 Compact when it is used with the original case supplied by the company i.e. after completing the call when phone's screen is uncovered the screen does not switch on automatically rather it can be switched on by pressing the on/off button to switch on the screen to end the call
Any body who have faced the above problem and have any solution/comment kindly share.
