open SmartConnect and set up an event for your charging dock. When you plug the Z3 in, it will automatically run the actions you set in the SmartConnect app. This can be basically anything you want, including display orientation, music, smart standby (such as displaying the clock, which is really lovely) etc. I'm planning on setting up my Z3 to be able to access it directly from my computer over the wifi. When I'll do this (will only get my dock in a few days), I'll set up an event to automatically start that app ;)
Now that should be nice and a completely new level of accessing my phone.

go to Settings > Display > Screen rotation and set smart screen rotation to OFF.
It also happened to me, but I was quite eager to try this feature as I read in bed at night and I wanted to be able to turn from one side to the other without compromising on my position with regard to the phone. It's not working the way I expected it to. However, guys at Sony tell you it may not work right if you move too fast.
If you turn it off while leaving Autorotate screen checked, your traditional portrait / landscape shift will work just fine.

It overheats too often becoz they use 801 which not compatible with 2k display.. Games crashes saying that the screen is too hot.. z3 is awesome but it's mostly the same as z2 except the screen, and again if u want best screen go for note 4 the best one till date..

glass shatters with nothing and is really hard to find spare parts, besides that is a REALLY good phone

Your iphone makes crap photos compared to xperia, try the zoom in and wonder...
One touch of a softbutton in cam settings and xperia makes a 20.7 mpx photo with same colour reproduction and better light exposition than your iphones 8 mpx...
and that is sth those ignorant reviewers dont tell or show you in tests

can anyone help me? my z3 does not shift to landscape mode even if i already turned on the auto rotation. it does not rotate.im using a magnetic charging dock and it does not shift to landscape also. this started a week after i bought my z3. but other than that my phone works perfectly.

Guess you never heard of problems on samsung phones either ha?:
SD failures, burnt in screen pixels, battery lifetime dropping to half in 6 months time, loudspeaker failure,etc...
I seriously stand behind my glass better than plastic comment, all because of durability improvement...
Either way, if you drop your phone, back crack is not ones biggest problem, but front screen crack is...and it happens to every smartphone out there....

All phones containing the ... moreI never had to deal with any fried mother board,battery or chipset ...on premium smartphones .lol...but glass back cover is not a ideal choice my friend...sony had just copied iphone backcover style ....btw dispite having a glass cover in both i wud go for the z2 than tbe z3 cause z3 looks like a cheaply made smartphone.and
why on screen botton everytime sony??
and why does the phone have lots of lag in the UI. The laggy touchwiz UI is better than the UI of sony.sony learn something from note4....i know it asks for the higher price but did not u alreay reduced the screen size and the ppi for that plus less powerfull chipset hope fully z4 will do the rest.

I have been using z3 for at least 2 weeks by now so let me tell my reviews
cons: 1. lacks a lot after every 5 to 6 hrs of use I complained but found no results
2. speakers not up to the mark for a high end phone
3. charging time is too slow had to wait 5 to 6 hrs for full charge
4. whatsapp crushes frequently
5. screen protection not up to mark since I broke my screen with a hight from knee level a had to pay 40k+ for repair
pros:
everything works fine excluding the cons.
anyways from my side instead go for z2
