Z3 is a good phone actually don't buy it from the shopping websites because of this you might get defective piece. Buy phone via near by shop and specially Sony products.

This phone has Motion Launch Feature.
It lets you double tap the screen to wake it up.

But, after the third time or so, it becomes much easier as the flap relaxes a bit. The flaps never come undone or anything, so you don't have to worry about that. If you're really concerned about the charging, just buy a wireless charger.
FYI: This phone is amazing. :D

The Z3 Compact is the single best, reasonably sized, smartphone to date. I have been watching all announcements and every other OEM makes lower-speced 'mini' devices that are not nearly as good as their larger counterparts. Sony packed in the same specs of their Z3 into an even better, smaller, package with the Z3 Compact. Look at GSM Arena's battery comparison chart and you'll see just how amazing it's battery life is.
Performance is amazing, the camera is fantastic, especially since there is a two-stage camera button to launch and take pictures with. The body fits perfectly in my hand and is even waterproof! Add in a MicroSD slot and very minimal skinning by Sony on the ROM and you have a winning phone.
It is even easy to unlock the bootloader, root, and use xposed framework on the stock Sony ROM, making this an immediately customizable, and stable phone from day one.

Hi I need opinions. I have been thinking of getting the Z3 compact but reading through this forum it seems that the phone is prone to cracks and lots of other issues. After reading the comments this doesn't seem to be a premium good quality phone. Has anyone had good experience using the phone without having the screens crack for no reason or stop working for no reason?

I got my z3c on The first day when it came to EU market. So it is for some time now. I have never faced any heating, sudden death, battery or any kind of problems. I do not believe anyone who says that a phone by itself became unusable or smth. Sometimes it could be a factory problem. In that case any vendor you bought it from would change you to new one. So ppl who keep saying that they lost big money because phone is dead for good and it wasnt replaced, it could only mean that you fucked up your phone yourself. So stop spreading blame on sony

Bad experience! Sudden death issue. My Z3 Compact is totally dead after three weeks use. Already with Sony Service Center for the last ten days. Z3 Compact has know motherboard problem, but unfortunately Sony is not acknowledging it. My last Sony purchase!

My z3compact died to.. i am sure it not the battery, it was 86% charged and when i woke up one morning, it won't turn on. I have meet around 4 persons on faceboom with the same problem too.. may i know what happened to your phone now?

I have a Xperia Z3 Compact for 3 months. A few days ago, after de battery went out of charge, totaly, it does not charge anymore. I´ve tried to reset by pressing power button plus volume button (up or down). I´ve also tried to press the button near de SIM card, but no LED or the screen seems to respond. I used differente USB cables, but it seems dead.
What else can I do? Please, help me.

I have days with my new Z3C and can say battery is better then most of the phones and will last you one day if you kill it or 2 if you spare it. Use automatic dimmer app to greatly improve battery life, stamina mode and wifi on location. I have tested the ultra stamina mode where 10% battery remaining will last more than one day and standy several days. (very nice, same as Samsung Alpha but takes less time to activate) Lightning fast (4 torrents while copy paste big files and phone remains very responsive) Design is incredible but you need magnetic cable and protection (waiting for glass screen and cover). Blotware can be disabled easy and I wait for Lolipop update (starting in feb).
Great screen for smallest size phone possible (so far) but LCD is different than Amoled (comparing with htc one x I own) but is great. You can play with screen colors to make it more warmer like on amoled.
Headphones (with mic) is best I have seen so far (and I heard many as I am very demanding). Flac quality music with a good mediaplayer app on stock headphones is amazing on this phone. Probably at Apple standard.
Phone sound quality is great (including on headphones) but if you put on speakers is not that loud however speakers are waterproof.
This is one of the very few phones you can make pictures underwater because of dedicated camera button but I won't risk it. Is good enough bonus is water proof for accidental spills or drop. I read is better to avoid sea water as it might color the plastics.
In the hand size of the phone is amazing but without case it will slip. Being glass on both sides is best to have good protection. Even if screen is tough all screens get scratched so is best to use protection ad change that when needed.
Photo camera I have tested very little but sony should have at least average quality on this.
Hope it helps others in making best decisions for them as there is no perfect phone for all but only perfect phone for you.
PS Someone was complaining on heat reducing the clock speed, I think is a good idea as there is no phone that will not heat while playing very intensive games. Intensive games are for tablets because it will always push the processor limit.

This phone is super fast, not laggy at all. I used it almost 1 month and half and it is super beast.
recommend it to everyone, plus, the size is same as the Z1 Compact but bigger display and resolution, bigger battery and awesome camera.
