Also give it a few days to adapt...

I just bought one yesterday.. And I am being bothered now by how fast the batt life decreases. Just using messenger. Should there be apps to close. I kinda don't wanna turn the stamina or powersaving mode. Seems like my cheap android phone before has a better batt.

My white one arrived but battery not as good even though just on first charge,,however these were activated.
SETTINGS-MORE-MOBILE NETWORKS-DATA ROAMING-SWITCH OFF....Mine was on.
SETTINGS-ACCOUNTS-AUTO SYNC-TURN OFF....Mine was on.
My Google plus was set to back up..It has been backing up 4K video and photos and used 556mb of data and used tonnes battery over 3g.
Double tap to wake was activated but i like it so leaving it on,,this uses more battery keeping screen ion sensitive waiting for you to double tap.
Easy uninstaller was taking up 5% of battery so uninstalled it.
Second charge has doubled battery life but thats understandable ..I untick Auto-Backlight as 5 years ago found this uses battery constantly sensing ambient light..I use it manually to adjust backlight.
My 2 email accounts are push and 3 twitter accounts manual refresh.
Still love this smartphone ,,even more in white.

In Videos Vs other phones, some Z3Cs sound great , excellent , OK, muffled.
I think it may be Quality Control issues...or different speakers in some units....

Starting to enjoy the MH750 Sony earbuds that came with z3c more than my SoundMAGIC E10.They are bit more sparkly and bass is more balanced. Vocals seem more pronounced but E10's bit more fuller sound..Its always subjective but surprised by quality Sony earbuds you get out of box.

Z3C, 14 Nov 2014got mine two weeks ago and back panel self cracked two days... moreThen Sony complain about deficit but ignoring their customer's feedback. Sony must be serious about this screen cracking issue. Also the Z series cameras have the best hardware but poor software processing. Remove the micro sd and put a 32,64 or 128 GB internal memory u could easily remove 1 flap. Don't ever think of increasing the overall dimensions of Z4C, it should remain as Z3C which is the only high end compact smartphone with 720p. 1080p is USELESS since it is power hog. Unlike LG who always increase the phone every release. Also, the Z4 must remain 5.2" and 1080p to conserve battery. The QHD is useless when u require a mobile charger to keep your phone alive.

earlbax, 10 Nov 2014hello. i have done some research on this phone as I am plan... moregot mine two weeks ago and back panel self cracked two days ago...try googling it and u will find posts bout it on sony forum, pictures as proof available too.what really disappointed me is sony knows damn well that this is a common issue for their xperia z series, but still you will have to push hard enough until they consider your warranty claim.

my verdict on the z3 get one now brilliant battery life ..its years since had a phone where the battery just lasts so long ..I got rhinoshield front and rear screen protectors the best on the market ..waiting on the rhinoshield bumper to make my z3 best protected z3 out there .. not just saying this check out ..http://www.evolutivelabs.com/pages/crashguard-sony-z3-compact ...rhinoshield can take a hit from a hammer if that is not protection what is..

AnonD-330818, 13 Nov 2014I am getting really poor battery life with mine - it can lo... moreMy Z3C battery life is amazing, I have gaming for about 4 hours (Asphalt 8), web browsing for about 1 hours, idle for the rest of the time but I am turning on LTE whole day (roughly 11~13 hours), I still manage to get 41% battery left when I am home.
I'm not using any custom launcher so far. But I did using a pedometer app (ACCUPEDO) which is turning on 7x24 but always on power saving mode. Did not use any Sony's stamina mode so far since it is not necessary for me so far. Screen brightness is always on default brightness.

I'm not sure if there is trolling going on or whether sony were silly enough to not do proper quality control, i hope it's the trolling. I bought an iphone 6 after owning my much prized htc one m7, for the last year and half. the iphone six was much better with the camera action than the old htc, but the phone was not as user friendly or as intuitive to me and lack so many basic android funtions i decided to sell it and get £700. then i bought the z3 compact. i am completely blown away by this phone. the camera is better than the iphone 6, but the camera app is not as fast, so i changed the camera app for a fast burst camera, and now the phone takes super fast photo's much faster than the iphone, which was the only thing i liked about it, oh and the sound was really good. But the sony sounds pretty good too. definitely loud enough, especially when you have adjusted the audio in the settings. it seems like sony set the phone up with high quality components and then set them to minimum settings. But a little tweaking in the settings has left me with a phone that is way better than the iphone 6, with all the customizabilty of android, and it's waterproof. it beats the htc and the iphone, in every way. and the battery lasts longer than the iphone did by far. it's the best phone out there right now in my opinion.

I am getting really poor battery life with mine - it can lose almost 15% just sitting on my bedside table overnight, and rarely seems to manage a 10 hour work day with light usage (no gaming or video watching) without dropping below 50% from fully charged. There is zero chance of 2 days.
I think my old Iphone 4s was actually better than this - I regularly got home with 60% battery life, and had practically zero usage overnight. The stamina mode does not seem to do much, nor does location wifi which regularly detects wifi when it should not, even after restarting the phone.
Have I got a duff phone? Is what I am describing just how it is?
