15.5MP 16:9 ratio is already updated on Z1c by software upgrade.
801 snapdragon is for sheeps who think they are getting upgraded,but this is only for money takeing.Overclock.
The ONLY important upgrade if we are to call it so,are the speakers.
But don't take this into consideration,sony needs the money,you better buy this phone.

But reality this phone is completely different lengue with Xperia SP ~
With Stereo speaker , 20.7MP camera, small size with same screen size, and IPS screen for better angle viewing ~
As well as bigger batttery ~
The only thing that Xperia SP better is notification light ~
And this phone is IP68, which is dustproof and waterproof, of course you must care for its flaps so it wont go bad fast ~
I currently have Xperia ZR which have removable backcover as well as flaps, and after 7 months usage ~
The condition for the flaps and backcover still great ~
I can wash the device from time to time ~

AnonD-209094, 07 Sep 2014Just get the Z1 Compact then, its basically the same phone ... morez3 compact is much better than z1 compact it has 15.5 mp cam at 16.9 whereas z1 compact has only 8 mp cam at that ratio, it has snapdragon 801 processor which is much better and bigger 4.6 disply and many cam features like 4k, dual camera shot are added, much better audio output with hr sound and gaming with ps4 will be awesome.

emez, 07 Sep 2014I like this phone,everything is just great but SONY have to... moreJust get the Z1 Compact then, its basically the same phone with overclocked chipset at a much lower price (or will be lower very soon).
Its a bit shameless behavior by Sony to not give any noticeable upgrades over Z1 Compact, the lack of shatterproof display sheet is the only noticeable difference i can see, noone is ever gonna notice the slightly overclocked chipset and a display at this resolution does not need to be bigger than 4.2-4.3 inch, and the Z1 Compact already had great battery life. So, its hard to recommend spending so much extra for nothing significant. This phone will not be good to buy before it drops in price, 500 Euro is a criminal price for a midranger with overclocked processor.

the phone that i've been waiting for upgrade. super fast performance SoC in a smaller formfactor that would fit in my small hand. it would be better if they make a phone like this with removable battery without sacrificing dust and water resistance like galaxy s5mini does.

Why sony is not working on z3 compact dual sim phone its so important just like z3 dual bring a dual sim z3 compact and many will definitely buy it including me just look what market needs rest is all awesome except dual sim feature
