Glass protection has of ASI Dragontrail Glass just like Gorilla Glass

AnonD-63308, 05 Sep 2014Where do you get this info that they use Dragontrail?Sony made a large deal with Asahi (company that makes dragontrail glass). It's not solid evidence but it's highly likely that it uses dragontrail glass same goes for the rest of Z series.

Wow all the colours are nice. I wanted the green one but white with white front looks elegant too, and black one also looks so sexy. Gonna be a hard time choosing. Maybe I should get all =D

Can anyone tell me what kind of screen protection Sony has applied in this device? I have seen in spec sheet that its not gorilla glass 3 but shatter proof glass. I s it again the same sticking of a plastic screen protector over the display like my old xperia Z? Then I will never think about this phone.

It only miss Xperia print on the bottom of front panel. Personally, I prefer home, back and menu touch keys under screen, but screen size and flagship specs are main advantage.

Snapdragon 801? Hmm, would have preferred to see a 64 bit SoC. And before you start flaming me that 64 bit is not needed blah blah blah, HTC just released a mid-tier phone that is 64 bit. So it's in the pipeline. The iPhone 6 will assuredly be 64 bit and everyone will be scrambling to catch up. That is the truth.
I like the fact they are keeping the microSD slot. Now we just need 128 GB support.
Note that the size of the phone is the same as the Z1c but the screen is bigger. So ppi is lower. Not sure if this will make a difference or not.
A lot of people complain about the big bezel on the Z1c, but the screen is so touch sensitive I like the fact now that there is room to grab on to my phone which I value over accidentally dropping it.
Will I upgrade? Probably not. I was looking for more than this. But I am happy to know that sony is continuing the compact line.

If they fix the self-cracking screen issue with the whole Z line up so far, I'm in. Otherwise I'll get a Galaxy. They've had years to fix that issue and I'm interested in getting a new phone within the next half year to a year. No rush, I will wait for forum posts if it is a continued problem with the Z3 line up too. Let's wait and see if Sony learned anything...
