Why? Water proof, faster, better camera, light, stereo speakers and much more.
Though Alpha is nice, especially the nice metal finish, the lack of extra storage space and poor battery life makes Z3 compact is much better phone in general.

Yeah i know this.sellers were saying these... This is a 32bit no 4g.....buy s6... I said no and i hav taken z3 compact...battery 🔋 is awsome... Display camera music 🎶 everything superb....all spects high lite

Do you even know that 64-bit is useless feature because almost all the applications in smartphone is 32-bit and many apps are still 8 and 16-bit. Even on my laptop 90 percent of applications are still 32bit. And try to google the effect of 64bit phone running 32bit applications. Numbers are not everything. And this device uses 4g technology.

Somebody sony hates, 04 Jun 2015I just owned my 2nd sony xperia z3 compact after having a m... moreI know what happened and I'm 100% certain about this. You charged your phone with an unofficial charger. Due to the difference on the mAh parameters of the phone and the unofficial charger, your phone's circuitry is screwed up. Has happened to me on 2 different phones already, and I learned my lesson at last.
NEVER EVER EVER charge your phone with an unofficial charger.

Doc, browse the web for a fix it guide. It sounds like a cable may have come loose. It could be something that you can simply fix yourself and save yourself a bit of money.

I am sorry for your lost. May I share what the guy from the sony store here in the Philippines told me. When buying a phone it is a golden rule not to buy first batch of phone which means you should wait for 3 months and above. Because first batch is always problematic, this is true even in any other phones. He also mentioned not to buy on online because most of that units are defective which must be pulled out by the company but sellers online sell it at prices without warranty. I also tried buying online at first but apparently it has small crack in the back that cannot be easily seen luckily I run my finger at yhe back and felt the small crack. Hope this helped you on your next purchase.

my xperia z3 compact have an issue
that when I'm busy with a call and receive another one , the phone automatically answers the other one after a few seconds
anyone can tell me how to cancel this feature

Dropped from 1 meter,,,half of front screen went blank....need to change the screen at any local repair shop or pay 60% of the selling price and get new at service centre....:(

Update from my last post. A miracle happened just 5 mins ago while charging my phone. While charging my phone I put my phone in the table then my feet caught the wire of the cable of the charger then my phone landed at the back about more than 3feet(waist level) and then bounced a little. Of course I am horrofied because it had no screen protector on it. To my disbelief the phone has no scratch or crack! 100 percent smooth! When it droped it sounded like I droped a plastic phone not a glass. I am very happy because it is very robust. I think I have the batch that has gorilla glass 3 or dragontrail back on it. I am also happy that the camera is not potruding or it would be a disaster.. Naked z3c forever :)

Great phone.. have been using for 4 months and no issue! great battery. A small phone with great power.

This best phone im using from 4 months no problem as orhers commented
If u guys use roughly then every phone will crack or busted
If sw prob tht is bad luck
But i recommended sony z3c
For long lasting battery n no lagging with software

I see a lot of people raving about the battery life. The first day i have this phone I see that my estimated battery life is only 8 hours.
I've turned off background data and have it set to energy saving mode and everything else I can think of to get this good battery life.
What am I missing?

Munjela, 04 Jun 2015I'm considering a new phone, and the most important things ... moreI would defenitely go for the Z3 compact. I have one and I'm more than happy. Alpha is also a very good phone but what I most wanted was battery life and, in that department, there's no competition. The Z3c crushes the Alpha. Speaking of which, the Z3c is probably most likely to get "crushed" because it has glass on boh sides... Also, I would consider it the perfect phone if it had finger print detector (I think the Alpha has it). Anyways, wouldn't change those 24-26 hours of battery that I always get for that.
