StephenNg, 31 Mar 2015Any tips on how to minimize / prevent the glass from cracking? Use a tempered Glass.. Preferably the 2.5 D version with at least 6mm thickness.. Select from the wide range! MAkes your screen beautiful too..

i instaled the update yesterday and its blazing fast , but did notice that the themes i had in my phone no longer modify the design of the back,home and task manager on screen keys :( ,and the default design is so boring,i hope sony or other developers make themes that can modify this , i know is something not relevant but i like to personalize my phone

Rock solid little performer. Great battery life! With my Samsung Galaxy S4, I battled to get it last from 7am to 5pm. The Xperia Compact lasts more than twice as long. I get two full day's use, from 7am till 11pm. Lovely phone. Happy user.

All these android smart phone have same features only the camera and speed even galaxy poket got same features as galaxy S5

I don't think I understood your question completely... I'll try to explain anyway:
The Z3 Compact has a plastic frame and a glass back and front... the Z3 on the other hand has a metal frame and also glass back and front. Sony ditched the Anti Shatter Film that came preinstalled on the screen of older units (and I used to love that, but it was prone to scratches). Inspite the plastic-glass construction, the device feels very solid and robust, and mine has survived a couple of drops to hard floor (with a Ringke Fusion Case).
The battery for MY PERSONAL USE last around 6~7 hours of Screen-On Time, this is a mixture of web browsing, some gaming, taking pictures, listening to music (mostly over Bluetooth) and so on.... My phone never dies on a single day, I always reach home with battery left, even when using heavily. I have activated Google Now, Lifelog (with location reporting), whatsapp, FB Messenger, Hangouts, 3 emails accounts through Gmail app, Google Inbox, Google Keep, LinkedIn, and a couple of games that notifies me of online feedback... everything else does not use much online connection, though I did uninstalled Facebook App (I only access it through Chrome).
I almost never use Stamina mode.

The only downfall is in deed the glass backpanel wich had broken over night about a month ago. Sony recognised the problem and i got a new one :) so yes it's true about the back panel but Sony knows of it so you dont losse youre warrenty

I am appealing to bloggers not to comment negative and sowing false review. I know you are not owning a z3 compact. It's either you are apple or Samsung fanatics.. Pls leave this site. You're not helping..

I got this phone last week. And I'm having some concerns with the battery life and we after some advice. In the battery settings with the screen on ccomponent, it says when I've got the wifi on, il get 7 hours (which is what i expected) of the screen been on out of a 100% charged battery. But only 4 hours, if that with just standard 3G / 4G which I think is pretty crap. Now snapchat has started using 60% of my battery when the tally of minutes of me using it is only 3? Just wondering what other people are getting out of their screen life
