Just wasn't sure if these upgrades were worth EUR 125 :p. Based on your comments, it seems like they were (I personally was drawn to the higher ISO and additional camera features). Thanks again for helping me decide.

2.Screen size is increased by using plastics bezel which looks bad compared to z1c metal bezel
3.Front speaker is an improvement over side on z1c
4.4k video recording is already available for z1c (check xda)
5.Quick charge 2.0 is an integreated feature from snapdragon 800 devices,but to get the benefit u hav to use high amp charger
verdict:z3c is not a huge improvement over z1c but maybe z4c

Maya, 25 Mar 2015I'm looking for a new phone. I found a Z1 compact at EUR 12... more@Maya, the decision to go with the Z3C instead of the Z1C depends entirely on how you use your devices... for me it really is worth it because I do wanted the upgrades...
Z3C over Z1C:
- Thinner, better overall design + bigger battery (2600 vs 2300 mAh)
- Slightly bigger screen 4.6" vs 4.3" with basically the same size
- Stereo front-facing speakers vs Mono at the bottom (the stereo effect is loss after around 20cm / 8in)
- More camera features (High Sensitivity ISO, Slow Motion 120fps@720p, 60fps@1080p, 4K video Rec, etc) I don't know if these features will ever make it to the Z1C
- Quick Charge 2.0.
Now, there are a couple of things that in MY opinion, the Z1C was better...
- Built materials: the back is plastic instead of glass, which is prone to scratches BUT NOT TO CRACKING. IMO more robust (I keep my Z3C with a case, and probably wouldn't use one for the Z1C)
- The frame is metal instead of plastic.
- The resolution of the display is the same on a smaller size which equals to slightly better ppi (342 vs 319)
I love my Z3 Compact, but I think I might get the Z1 Compact to my wife, since the difference in price does not justify her kind of usage.

also remember that screen ppi is low on z3c(319) compared to z1c(342)

selfcracking is BIG BIG BIG lie. I've been a user for like 3 months already, dropped the phone many times but hell yeah it's still on its perfect condition. You just have to add more care on it. I love you z3 compact. you're my everyday bestfriend.

Hi, the only issue I'm having with the phone so far is it's very very slippery. hahaha you really need to have a case protector for this one. so far so good. everything is perfect. it's really fast.

I'm looking for a new phone. I found a Z1 compact at EUR 125 cheaper than Z3 compact. Can anyone tell me if the 'upgrades' for Z3 compact is worth the money? Should I go for Z1 compact or Z3 compact, given the price difference?

Bcs the speaker position is in the front in z3c compared to side on the z1c,so users may get better sound on z3c

and THERE IS NO CRACKING ISSUE.I MOVED FROM IPHONE 5C TO Z3C AND sony is amazing.i am really surprised that sony isnt the top smartphone vendor.and yeah,it doesn't crack at all.these are baseless rumors.
i also realised that the crack phone comments increased after s6 release.this is very unusual and suspicion arousing..... so i can infer that its sammy agents at work trying to create interest for the bad s6.

Ive had mine for about 6 days and from day 1 the waterproof port cover for the sim card pops open slightly on its own. it does this within 20minutes almost every time even if its just sat on the side. apart from that the phone seems great (well except its having trouble connecting to wifi networks but i think i can solve that) Even so i think i might replace it with an S4 MINI which i know is reliable.

i have Note 4, but i may sell it coz i love to... moreI have the Z3 Compact and it's been 2 month already, I consider myself a heavy user with over 5 hours of screen-on time daily... Most of the time my Z3 Compact delivers that and more... but the most I've got from it has been a little over 7 hours... All of this with Stamina OFF...
I think the only way to achieve close to 9 hours is to only do a single activity... such as web browsing... but when you mix it with music playback, games, chats, etc... it goes down quicker...
I wouldn't trade the Note 4 for the Z3 Compact, but I do like compact devices more... so I also wouln't trade my Z3 Compact for a Note 4 :)

First of all, everything about this device is just incredible and fantastic. Having coming to it from iPhone 5s/Samsung S4/htc m8, i can easy tell its the best in class for its performance and battery life. Having passed thru 3 months and 15 days, the only fault which affected me badly was the scratches on rear camera. To clarify, i used a silicon cover from day 1 of purchase, even the front screen protector is intact. Never fell from pocket, nor any scratchable item was placed ever in the same pocket. Anyways will soon check out what is the charge for changing it.

I hope it helps.
