On what do you base your distrust in them? Go to XDA forums to and read testimonials regarding the Xperia Z series cracking issue, watch Dan Roe's "hidden feature of xperia z" youtube video amongst many others. There's even a survey being carried out to identify the batch number and types of cracks appearing. These are real people who've spent money on a flawed device and feel hard done by.
Do you even own the device? If you do then pass comment on your own experience. The thing is if/when this happens to you, you'll also cry foul. To simply not question the issue is plain ignorance. I've have experienced issues so MY advice to potential buyers is to steer clear of the Z3 compact.

Best compact phone ever ! Just go for it without hesitation.
Amazing performance,camera and of course the battery life !
The camera with manual settings is excellent.Took some hit on the screen, but faced no crack issues whatsoever.It's definitely well-built unless u go boxing with in your pocket.
Recommend to anyone looking for a slim and compact device.

I cannot send/receive text and call or even use mobile data after it was left idle for sometime. Its frustrating that i have to restart it every now and then. I brought it to service center and sent it back to me saying they just do a pc companion and its fine but its not. Really not. Waste of money i say.

Beware before buying this phone! Yes, it is the best compact android phone currently available and the battery is simply outstanding.. BUT.. while aesthetically it's a beautiful device, the build quality is pathetic. Do yourself the favour and research into the cracking screen issues. Sony Z series are notorious since Z1 and was even featured on BBC Watchdog. Expansion and contraction issues cause the screen to break without force. Samsung and Apple get hate for quality and bending but they will replace/repair and acknowledge the issue. Sony simply doesn't give a damn. I fully understand now why Apple and Samsung are market leaders.

asdsadsa, 30 Jan 2015What is the difference between D5803 and D5833 What I know is that both references are the same features, except 3G and 4G bands Z3C D5803 is more suitable for Americas and Z3C D5833 for Asia.

I got this phone since mid December 2014, already one month and not any complains, battery life is impressive, phone is fast itself, camera is awesome, big quality display... and incredibly is just fits well in my pocket, so perfect for me and for this kind of users that still think that Compact is not necessary to be second hand features as you can see other brands sacrifice quality to make a phone mini (Including Iphone, HTC, and Samsung).

Got this phone in November 2014
About phone, excellent size, upgraded from Sony Xperia S, no difference in size, nice! Also checked Samsung, HTC and LG phones, there is always something missing =(
About phone, it's fast and have great battery life, but to get good battery life, you needed to shut down a lot of Google stuff from apps, but it was worth of it! Check forums, there are a lot of suggestions ))
About camera, it's good for phone, just face it, it's not like DSLR camera, and probably newer will be, common, it's impossible to get that quality in phone 8mm thick, but for social networks and other purposes, it's excellent.
Other problems faced, none. Never had overheating, shutdowns and other problems, using it daily, life with Bluetooth and 3G/4G on + medium usage ~2-3 days, depends on apps you are using.
If you have some problems, read manual, most probably you just don't know how to use your device :)

I have been thinking of getting the Z3 ... moreI had mine two months and had the blank screen problem with random shutdown and difficulty restarting and bluetooth not working properly. Sony repaired it with a new part and new battery. Had it back less than one week and today it has shut itself down. Looks like its finished! Seems you either get a good or a bad one down to luck.

I am an Apple user for 5 years and Apple is really amazing phone specially the Apps. But I decided to try an Android devices and I have tried all the latest High End Android Devices.
When I started try Sony Z1 & Z2 Phones I was very disappointed with the front camera, back camera and very heavy and I said I will not try again.
So i decided again to try other Android Brand Phones Like HTC and Samsung those phones are also unique also.
But because i was looking for a features of front camera and I found Z3 New from Sony so I told my self let me check if theres an impprovement then I checked Finally Perfect Phone it has a big improvement I immediately I Bought it. Base on my my experience Z3 compact is perfect phone because of
= Long Battery Life
= Dust & waterproof
= Fast Mobile and Clear display
= Front Camera is clear and its perfect has a 2.2 MP ff 22 it wont make your face long or round. Hope you all noticed it as well. Because all of the users now are more depending on Front Camera For good Selfie and Good Video as well for the latest in Apps in Android and iOs.
For me, the second Phone has a good front camera is HTC 816 if you are looking for good front camera.
But generally Z3 or Z3 Compact has all the Features that we need. Except if you are a Movie maker and really love editing and making a nice video movie
iMovie is the best, easy & fast that is on Apple Product only.

I have been using this phone for about 2 weeks and I'm very satisfied with it.
The only problem that I have is that the headphones settings don't work with Walkman but they do with other players such as Google play.

I have this phone for a week now (upgraded from the Samsung Galaxy S3). After a 7 days use overall the phone is good, but not as good as I expected.
In terms of materials the glass is an amazing fingerprint magnet! And the overall finishes aren't that great, the leave me the impression of cheep materials, the front and back feels like plastic, not glass, while the transparent plastic around it breaks the "classy" look. Despite the fact that it's smaller, the S3 had a better grip than the Z3 Compact.
Going on the software, for now it works amazingly fast. The theme can't be customized that much, the icons are quite huge, the keyboard layout is horrible (in terms of symbols arrangement) and it doesn't remember symbol combinations that you entered. The camera is good but the 20.7mp are available only when you are using it on manual. The drop down menu is horrible because you have to change tabs to turn on the wifi and other things, but the stamina mode is amazing. Talking about drop menu, it's a pain in the a** having to go to settings to enter the password for the wifi and having to change the tab in order to reach the option for changing the display brightness.
OVERALL
CONS:
-the materials feel cheep
-fingerprint magnet
-small and low power flash
-high price for what it offers
-horrible customization possibilities
-horrible drop down menu
-cheap feeling hands free, but stays great in the ears and the sound is great
PROS:
-small and fast
-good looking
-camera button
-powerful speakers
-good camera
-good battery life

It's one of the best phone.
I had iPhone 5s but this phone is amazing. Every thing is excellent.
