Anyways dual standby or not...it's still a better option than to carry around 2 smart phones all the time...Atleast i can say that for myself...and since i have both sims from the same network, call forwarding is free. So no worries there either !

Haku D Black, 15 Nov 2014Does both the SIM cards (SIM 1 & SIM 2) support 3G ? M... moreBoth SIM 1 and SIM 2 support 3G/4G but only one at a time. That means if u have data subscriptions on both sims (like I do) then u Must choose which one u want to use for mobile internet and then activate "mobile data traffic" on either sim 1 or sim 2 from the "mobile network settings" menu. The preferred network mode can then be selected as 3G or 4G (LTE) as u wish. The other sim which u are not using for data will automatically go into GSM mode. You cannot have LTE on both sims at the same time. You don't need to. If u are using sim 1 for mobile data traffic and it has reached the data limit for the month and u cannot use it anymore or if your network will charge u for excess data usage, then u can just easily switch to sim 2 for mobile data traffic and choose 3G or 4G for sim 2 from the settings menu. It's really that simple. Hope this answers ur question.

If it is disabled then enable it and type the sim 1 number if sim 2 is unreachable or busy and vice versa. Try different combinations. If nothing works contact ur network operator. And they will help us activate call forwarding. Cheers

Does both the SIM cards (SIM 1 & SIM 2) support 3G ?
Most of the dual SIM phones support 3G or 4G in SIM 1 only.

nomi, 12 Nov 2014i tried to active dual sim reachability but it says network... moreHey Nomi
I got this info for u from the Sony website. Hope it helps
At any given time, you can select which SIM card to use for making a call or sending a text message (SMS). However, when one SIM card is engaged in a call, the other SIM card is temporarily disabled. This means, that, during a call, only the SIM card that you have selected to use (the active SIM card) is available for communications. It is not possible to handle two calls simultaneously on two different SIM cards. When you use one SIM card to handle calls, the other SIM card is disabled automatically. You can still receive calls to the disabled SIM card by using the Dual SIM reachability feature. If the Dual SIM reachability feature is activated and you use, for example, SIM 1 to handle an ongoing call, any calls to SIM 2 get forwarded to SIM 1. This means that you can put the ongoing call on hold and answer the call forwarded to SIM 1 from SIM 2 (which remains disabled).
Note! Dual SIM reachability uses the Call forwarding feature. Check with your network operator to see if call forwarding is available in the networks that your SIM cards use. Call forwarding may not be available if you use SIM cards from two different countries/regions.
