Hello everyone.
I just wanted to find out if any of you have any opinion on the differences between the Z5 and the Z5 Compact (besides the screen size, RAM and battery)?
If you have no opinion on the differences, then you may ignore the rest of the message ;-) haha
I'm torn between which device to get.
Do you know if everything in the software/UI is EXACTLY the same?
Does the 4.6" Z5c have exactly all the same functionality, menu items, settings, and options as the 5.2" Z5? (because I saw once that the Z1c had menu items and settings missing that my Z1 does have. It may have been that the Z1c was on contract through a local provider, while my Z1 was bought online, unlocked, from abroad.)
Is photo quality exactly the same? Or does one of them have bugs/issues that the other one does not?
Thank you kindly.

Anonymous, 15 May 2016I am also planing to buy S7 but will buy Next year right no... moreGoogle the processor that's used in the Z5, it was known for over heating issues BEFORE Sony used it in there Z5.
As i said, unless i was lucky enough to recieve two faulty phones, i believe the Z5C suffers from having less ram & too small a chassis resulting in heat issues.
Maybe the Z5 will be a better phone thanks to that 1gb extra ram & more room for heat sinks?
So far, the S7 smashes the Z5C in all areas. Every thing is so much faster.
The photos look heaps better too, google comparisons between the two, the Z5C looks washed out compared to the rich colours on the S7.
I think anyone would be crazy to go for a Z5 after my experiences.

I've had this phone for 6 months now, and its going great. The battery life, incredible camera, compact size, and fast performance make this the best phone I've ever had.

Anonymous, 08 May 2016And, battery life is better on Compact.I use mine alot & I charge it twice a day.
I have been FB'ing, Web surfing & listening to music for the last 45 mins on the train & i'm down to 73%.
In comparison, my old iPhone5 would've been on 20 some thing by now. Lol
But the whole "2 day" battery life that was advertised, seems like a myth, even if you use the battery saving features.

Anonymous, 08 May 2016Hi!
Can somebody help me choose between Z5C and Z5... I ... moreTo me, it seems like the Z5C really suffers by only having 2Gb of Ram.
That & being crammed into a smaller chassis are the only things I can think of that are causing all the problems I have had with 2 different Z5C's.
I can't comment on the heat differences, my Z5C gets pretty hot at times, but after my experiences, I would say steer clear of the Compact, unless you really MUST have a Z5 & the size is that important to you.
Or be like every one else & buy a Samsung.
I just upgraded (hopefully) to a Samsung S7, but haven't used it yet, so can't give opinions.
On paper though & in reviews I've read, the S7 beats the Z5 in nearly everything, so by that alone, the S7 will slaughter the Z5C.
A few guys at work have all bought Samsungs & the S7 looks great.

Danny, 07 May 2016Preach Brother! Although it's not a troll.
I've had the Z5C since it's release in Australia.
Last night I finally bought a Samsung S7.
Haven't opened it yet & i'm writing this on my Z5C... But I'm so over this phone.
The first one lasted 6 days.
It lagged, crashed, over heated & shut itself down. Fair enough, teething problems, a lemon, just bad luck... I chucked a wobbly & got a brand new replacement.
Now 6 months later, I've been fighting with my Telco about how dodgy the Z5C is.
Apparently it's my fault, my Sd Card must be faulty, it must be corrupt data on my phone, it's they way I have it set up... Etc.
But the fact of the matter is, every day I need to clear the cache because apps stop working, it runs hot, notlike my other one, but it gets hot, it crashes, in all sorts of ways & when it does it spits up "blah blah blah has unfortunately stopped working" with an option to report, wait or close. In the last few weeks it has started randomly turning itself off & restarting for no reason, one of those times failing to restart & I had to do a hard reset.
In every day use, the phone will lag & struggle every now & then, for no apparent reason.
Games I use to play on my IPhone5, seem to struggle on this, with lag & jerks in frame rate, or huge loading times, then if someone sms's me or calls while I'm playing, the phone freaks out, lags to an almost complete stop, or just crashes.
I like the phone, but it would be fantastic if it ran properly.
Hopefully my Samsung S7 experience will be better, cause so far, my biggest regret is leaving Apple.

i think this one is good but i notice while in my hand its heats up but not overheat. its normal, every android has the same issue especially on heating. if you really want that not heat up go to basic phone. to make sure that every android in a safe condition we must control first our self to NOT abuse them. overall, i guess, i luv this phone.

Hi!
Can somebody help me choose between Z5C and Z5... I like the small (that is the smaller size of Compact) but I do have real need for dual sim model in Z5, and I have to admit that I'm not big on plastic sides of Compact, but I could live that. So it boils down to heating. Does Compact heat less then Z5. Thanks!
P.S. Only this two phones are of interest to me and the price between these two doesn't play a role.
